Well pain is not so strong in taijutsu,and there is no way that he can keep up with gai aftr 8 gates(coz kakashi need sharingen 2 keep up with lee aftr 5 gates). But what abt pain's shinara tensai? And almighty push?

pain destroy almost whole konoha with shinra tensei in one shot. So there is no way that gai can dodge it. May be he can block it some kinda of jutsu

Pain of course, he repels watever the eight gate has to offer along wit Guy to a very far distance away thus injuring Guy who will be weakened from d 8 gates and then Deva Pain walks over to his half dead body and impales him wit a chakra blade. The end. Btw-you cant dodge shinra tensei, its a gravitation pull on a target activated by Pain jst thinking about it, no one can move faster than another person can think. Also if Pain could keep up wit a six tailed Kyubi wit only one body, he can keep up wit Guy's eight gates with six bodies.

I agree that the outcome would've been different but Guy even with eight gates, cant beat Rinnegan.
