Looks like blazekev90 ended this.

OT: Yeah sand is a "flexible" defense, therefore it has certain advantages compared to other "still" defenses, it can change its focal points in terms of density and thickness at Gaara's will.

Exactly. I admit BOTH defences have weaknesses

I would disagree. The images you posted - couldn't load them completely because of slow internet - are from the desert location, I assume. That means more sand was available to pile up for greater defense. Gaara's sand was unable to block Yasaka Magatama from Madara completely and in fact a Golem was used for assistance.

The swords of a lesser Susano'o are shown to be much more brittle than the actual compact structure of Susano'o - Tsunade accomplished the same by breaking it in two. The fact remains that Susano'o has little to no weakness in regards to any elemental based or any other physical attacks. It's a much more all-round defense set-up. The examples would be Punches, Suiton attacks, Raiton, Fuuton, Lava Release, Sand attack - which was blocked by Sasuke effortlessly - etc.

This is how I see it.

Well being a fan of Uchiha i don't expect you to agree with all due respect and i did anticipate your comment lol. Yes it was in the desert but like i said this thread is solely based on the principle that it has the ability to be more durable and in some ways than susano'o. Show me a scan of the Yaska magatama hitting sand, i don't remember. I said a little earlier its an all rounder however susano'o has its weakness as its existence on the battle field is determined on the users condition. An example White rage was used and the User experience the brunt of that attack thus disabling susano'o. Itachi being sick affected the performance of Susano'o at times. However your points are valid but have been brought up already.

^ I was talking about that Golem and Sand Defense Combo for Madara's attack. Anyhow, since most points have been brought up already, then there is no point in this.
