Gaara's protective sand...?

Is Gaara's sand a kekei genkai or what? I'm not completely sure because
A. It seemed like a power he got from the bijuu at birth.
B. Well none of his siblings or kin has a power like that except his dad who has Magnetic release.
C. He is shown still to have the sand protect him after the bijuu is extracted. (Gaara v Sauce)
D. Gaara is just prosauce and unconsciously learned this technique at birth.
E. Kishi probably forgot the part where Gaara's powers were supplemented by the ichibi.

and wth his family is all jacked up with the elementals. Gaara has earth(dominant) /wind(bijuu), Kankuro hasnt shown an elemental affinity, Temari has Wind, the 3rd Kazekage had Earth/Lightning/Magnetic, Gaara's mom doesnt exist in the story lol wth!?!?!

that sounds cool, but i dont think the Shukaku is one to give gifts.

Gaara was able to manipulate sand because of the Shukaku but he still retained the ability after it was extracted from him. His skill with his sand actually seems like its improved in the manga recently but you can't really tell if its automatic or if he actually has to think about it. With the Shukaku gone though it probably actually requires him to think about it.

I think it is a KG since he had it since birth via shukaku.
Even though shukaku is gone he still is able to control it almost effortlessly.
And since KG's are there from birth you can include Gaara's sand manipulation.

I remeber reading before with some interview with Kishi that since he was born with this is will always have it.

It was not mentioned but I would guess he just does not have that huge charka reserve.

For it to be a KG you have to have either a unique technique noone else can do or be born with that special ability whether it is implanted or not.It does not have to be passed down from generation to generation.

Ex:Yamato has the wood release KG which was implanted into him from birth.
the 1st Hokage was the first to have it but his brother the 2nd Hokage didnt have it and neither did his grandaughter the 5th Hokage so that rules out you saying that when one person in the family has a KG everyone else has to too.

Gaara's and Shukaku's chakras perfectly conjoined together as one.
So since Shukaku is no longer in Gaara's body, his chakra is now Gaara's own.

It is a bloodline trait because he can controll it without using any seals the same way Kimimaru does with his bones, and Sasuke does with his MS techniques, and how Shino controls his bugs without any hand seals.
