Minato sliced bee's tentacle with just a kunai. I'm sure he can cut off tsunade's arms while she's attacking.
A dismembered tsunade is less a threat.

Itachi's Utaka (Finger Genjutsu) is also Short-Ranged. Gaara avoiding such tactics as being blitzed via Genjutsu would be no problem at all, due to his versatile aerial fighting-style.

His "versatile aerial fighting-style" is futile against a flying crow which can use genjutsu.
