Back when they were young GUY would win but he is older now and knows more jutsu and is more experience.So gaara got it and guy has not gotten stronger during the past three years because kakashi has surpass he got the Mangekyō Sharingan and has been training.Thats the reason why they wanted him to become the sixth hokage after Donzo die.It would be a good fight to see
