Eh close matchup could go either way, give intel and Kakuzu takes it but without ehh, its shaky.

Gaara's massive sand is enough to keep Kakuzu on his toes of course however due to Kakuzu's unique body structure of nothing but threads i don't really see crushing damage doing much to him regardless, it will be hard for Gaara to trap the hearts once they take flight, and Kakuzu's raiton technique can pierce through Gaara's ulitmate defenses ... most of them.


But its his normal body that is going to be in constant danger >.< If he can last long enough to deliver a final blow with his raiton Kakuzu wins if not it goes to gaara

Searing Migraine or Pressure Damage, if combined, could be able to scatter the sand on top of him and whatever is left could be past by the usage of Water Formation Wall. I also don't see an Imperial Funeral capturing him, seeing as he could merge in the ground to escape it.

your forgetting that the ground is under the sand and it would be a bad idea to go underground. and now tht i look he has no jutsu to merge with the ground.

also gaara can fly which would give him the advantage as he can get high altitudes and use his third eye to continue the fight. his only problem would be kakuzu's flying mask which could be easily dealth with in a 1v1. after that it would be easy to slowly pick them off

I don't see any difference regarding Gaara's levitation (its not actual flying) since Kakuzu is mainly a long-ranged fighter. He'll have to be in range to attack which will allow Kakuzu to strike back.
Gaara's sand coffins kills regular humans w/ 0 difficulty but they're not 'defense crushers'. Domu lived up to its hype and Gaara's sand is notable for the defence it provides, not its offensive power. It takes a lot to bypass Domu w/o Raiton.

But Kakuzu isn't an edo here (at least its not in the op) ._.

I'd honestly just say Gaara seals him.

Kakuzu's Domu is useless against a foe who can drag him miles and miles below the earth. Even if he makes his skin as hard as diamond, he still can't stop the massive amount of pressure from being dragged down that far. Seeing that Gaara can easily kill him, Kakuzu will retreat to Domu and he will solidify his whole body which will immobilize him. This makes him a sitting duck for Gaara. GG Kakuzu

Third something noo one seems to realize is that it was fired from a good 20 meters away, obviously its not going to be that far against gaara as it will be in the air swooping down and attacking. However again comparing gaara's speed to Kakashi's lol brilliant

As for sealing? The 2nd Mizukage has shown to resist sealing by using water release. Kakuzu merely does the same.

Mizukage uses an oil water conmbination to do that,not just water. Water dosent affect his sand
