The fastest we've ever seen Gaara's sand go is when onoki made it lighter. Had it not been for that he would of never been able to get one over on Madara.

Minato has reflexes and the arsenal to combat Gaara.

He can catch a flying Gaara via FTG kunai and Gamabunta. Unless Gaara cocoons the kunai in sand(if that even prevents him form FTG'ing to it) then he can.

Gamabunta can also wet his sand which effects how well he controls it. Now on a large scale it wouldn't do much but if he's using it in situations that called for it, it can be useful.

Minato isn't the best offense you know. If he could take hits from Lee Gates Mode whle being a kid, Gaara could easily tank hits from Minato. Minato's best chance is Flying Rajin, which special sand can prevent.

Not even with Shukaku , are people forgetting that he has Toad summing & Lawd Gamabunta took on Shukaku too , he counters anything with Space time barrier , he can seal Gara , he could probably mark his sand too , there's a lot of ways Minato wins against Gara.

Most of the Peoples don't realize that Garra can't fly continuously. It will drain his chakra drastically that's why most of the time he fights on ground.

Minato's rashingan can kill gara in one shot if it is a direct hit.

LEE, Sasuke has outrun gara's sand speed and landed a direct hit on garra. hence it won't be a difficult task for Minato to land a hit.

Minato can transfer and connect his chakra to another person. proved by kyubi so Its quiet possible that if gara's chakra infused sand ever touches minato then minato can teleport the sands and gara both to another place. so imagine if minato drops them in middle of pacific ocean then how can gara survive???
