Sorry, but Hashirama has equal or greater chakra, instant healing, Mokuton Bunshins, and as far as we know, is better at Genjutsu. Don't see Gaara having much of a chance, even in the desert. Hashirama can materialize forests in seconds, Mokuton > Sand.
healing is useless in a sand burial which turns him into a bloody pile,or sand pyramid which seals him. .Gaara has suna bushins too,his BOD is negated by sand sensing which found an invinvible muu with no chakra signature at all,and he can keep his distance by flying.
He attacked the kages with a wave of sand in seconds as well to test their responses. Sand>wood.
The fight we saw hashi give hiruzen proves it

people who says hashirama wins no diff need to leav the thread or go read the manga in a desert no one is defeating garra with ease except for edo madara mokuton useless quick sand and a sand tsunami would pretty much end this hashirama has no speed feats and he cannot fly garra takes this low to med diff

Gaara is good but unless he is in a desert and has more control he has no chance hashi would win outside the deset low to mid in a desert most likely High Diff Gaara Xtreme Diff not to mention what was in the 1st hokage secret scroll /the darkness jutsu/ he also has water and earth besides wood he even was a good master of swords his wood style is stronger than yamato and madara and last but not least if tree are an esscence of life imagine if he could absorb that and harness it into heck a goku spirit bomb or some energy attack?:shrug:
edo hashirama got beat by an old hiruzen,his wood style there wasnt impressive. And kimi's bone>wood,what are you saying. Gaara caught kimimaro in a sand coffin quickly,his bones saved him. Lee's attack didnt faze gaara,it barely cracked his sand armour.
Ems Madara fought hashirama many times before VOTE,edo madara would beat hashirama no probs,the 5 kage would win easily.
His earth and water styles havent been shown at all, bringer of darkness works at close range and gaara has sensor sand to counter. Kenjutsu is useless here.
2nd mizukage only told them about the clam genjutsu,and that they should find the real clam. Gaara found it by himself,he refused to tell them the weaknesses of his clone,gaara figured it out alone. The mizukage couldnt even touch gaara in the fight,he just broke out of sand coffins when gaara was looking for the clam,gaara caught him in a pyramid very quickly after the clam was destroyed.
Gaara's flight renders most of his moukton techs obselete. His sand sphere isnt gonna be broken by some wood. He can attack hashirama from everywhere while in his sand sphere. Sand>wood.

as i have said that was early in the anime and manga where hasi wasnt fully devloped they had to give saru face against a nerfed fight 2 kages and oro who also didnt use all his abilities just mud and kusanagi next your going to say hiruzen can beat madara or gaara can beat kurama but till Hashi s abilities fully are shown im going with Hashi who has more than just wood if u look at his limited profile

How will he be able to cruch him when he uses Mokuton from his body to push and pull sand apart?

If he flys how is he going to fight Hashirama since he will not even find Him with all of his clones and a forest?
You think that Garra can spam the Sand Tsunami but he can not. He has about one to two for a battle it drains too much chakra for him. And Nativity world beats a sand Tsunami. Hashirama can just stand on wood to keep from being sand sensed. (considering they would be fighting in a forest.
Sand Tsunami is taken care of by Nativity world. Because sand comes in a wave and the nativity world comes and huge trees which push through the sand pushing it apart. And Hashirama can grow trees as big as he want's to.
Hashirama was beat by Hiruzen because Hiruzen is just that much stronger than every person. Why do you keep bringing this up? Hiruzen is not Garra.
Did you just say Madara would win??? Because canon fact says that Hashirama beat Madara Uchiha in their fight and not only that but also Beat the 9 tails with him.
Oonoki was the one who found the clam.
Hashirama's Mokuton would blast through that sphere.

Hashirama could control tailed beast or at least surpress them so even if Madara tried to use the kyuubi on Hashi his plot failed lol. Madara EMS was what Hashirama beat 1v1 barely VERY barely. Now that Madara has all of Hashi's powers+RINNEGAN he is much stronger than Hashirama. Back to point i think Hashirama should be able to beat Gaara.

I agree with this guy. We know Gaara is really strong and that curent Madara would own Hashirama. But we also know that Hashirama did beat the EMS Madara and he IS known to be super powerful. He can defend sand with wood easily he can instantly make a forest and he can heal off attacks instantly I am sry but i dont see how Gaara would win this and i doubt he could.

gaara performed two pyramids, two sand tsunamis, sand hail, two sand clones, and three sealing techniques to take out his dad, muu and 2nd mizu. so dont tell me he has low chakra levels
we dont know what happened. its canon fact sasuke beat deidara and itachi but there were circumstances in those fights. and no mito beat kurama and sealed it. hashirama couldnt

gaara is the commander of an entire army, and strongest in his own village as well as the "golden prodigy" of the current alliance
they are not easily beat since they jsut turn back into sand and attack the attacker

if there is more than one hashirama running around, clearly they are clones. its impossible to tell apart regular shadow clones from the original as sasuke and madara learnt. gaara was the only one to notice the naruto fighting with them was in fact a kage bunshin. not once did madara be like "oh thats a clone. shouldnt waste my time on him"

Hashrima low difficulty, if in dessert Hashirama high difficulty, Hashi can create forest's in an instant, when hashi leaves the dessert it will be a rain forest lol. This guy was able to take down kyuubi and perfect susanoo with EMS Madara. I don't see how Gaara can take this guy.

we have zero idea how or what happened between them. how can we make a fair assessment it was a legitimate 1 vs 1 defeat?
1) moukton isnt blasting apart a sand pyramid,that thing is much stronger than wood. Joki boy destroyed it by a giant explosion,not wood. What do you mean if he flies?,havent you seen gaara fight in the air before?,he will simply attack the clones while safe in the air,he will just make sand clones to go after the wood clones from the sky,each using their sand eye and sand sesing and in a sand sphere. Gaara launched a sand tsunami against the kages that made them look like dots just to test their response,he wasnt in the least bit exhausted,he fought 3 edo kages,had to seal them,had to protect his division,saved onoki twice,helped stop a meteor,tanked two meteors and has his sand armour on,all for 2 days straight before being tired. Getting gaara tired is the least of hashirama's worries.
And sand tsunami changed a forest into a sand box years ago,it will do the same to hashirama's own,if hashirama makes a forest,gaara makes a sandbox and crushes him. Sant tsunami pushes anythng in it's path with incredible force,if any trees come in it's way,they will get smashed aside,not to mention gaara can use the sand tsunami and have it attack hashi while it's still in motion. Gaara easily evaded flower world,and madara used his susanoo fist to knock him down

Old hiruzen isnt gaara,madara isnt gaara,each one have their ways of victory. Hiruzen would never have beaten any ems user with the techs he used against hashirama,he couldnt beat ps with the techs he used against hashirama,he wouldnt hit gaara with any of those he used against hashi,yet hashirama beat madara because his techs were perfect counters for madara and the kyubi. You keep bringing the fact that because hashi beat madara,he would beat gaara,and i keep telling you that edo hashi's wood release was pathetic against hiruzen,and that madara dosent fight like gaara,none of gaara's techs are weak to the effects of moukton,unlike madara who used kyubi who could be controlled by hashirama,madara would beat hiruzen if he used only those techs he used against hashirama.
Edo madara would wipe the floor with hashirama,so you should stop bringing up the fact abt the kages and madara. Also gaara needed lightened sand and a clone to seal madara who was using his ems,and forced him to use rinnegan. Gaara is well suited to bring down joki boy,even hashirama wouldnt have done that with his arsenal and style,but that dosent mean gaara is stronger,just has the right tools for that problem.
I dont know which manga you are reading,but gaara used his sand sensing to find the clam,then used the sand around it to cover it so that onoki who was on a sand platform could see it and attack it. How would onoki find the clam in the field genjutsu?
