I'm tired of people saying that Gaara is weak and he's the weakest kage and all that, and some people the other day thought shino could beat Gaara :flaw: , well to be honest he's stronger then 3 of the 5 current kages.
My list of stongest kages
1.oonoki
2.Gaara
3.Raikage
4.Tsunade
5. Mei
Gaara can use his sand as an ultimate defense, theres only one other defense that can be considered stronger and thats susanoo. He use No chakra on defense, the sand is his mother protecting him, and little chakra for offense.
People like to limit Gaara by putting him in unrealistic areas to fight. When will Gaara ever be in the Hidden Rain Village, or back at the chuunin exams? Most Fights are in an open area.
He is Called Gaara of the Dessert because he can turn almost any terrain to dessert, and people don't like that so they put him in places he would never be.
Alright now to show how he's stronger then the Kage except for Oonoki
Stronger then Mei
Everyone Overrates what Mei can do, yes she has two KGs, but that doesn't make someone strong if thats all she can do, no summonings, no taijutsu, no genjutsu, and one of the KG's doesn't work unless her opponent is in a sealed of area. In reality she's the weakest kage, but thats just me. Gaara easily defeats her
Tsunade
She has her medic skills and super strength and Katsuya but none of those are fast enough to hit Gaara. Gaara wins everytime.
A the Raikage
I'm going to say this, and everyone is going to freak out. Gaara sand is on par or maybe faster then the Raikage in V2. Yup i said it

These not only proof that Gaaras sand is faster then amaterasu but also is on par with Raikages V2 speed.
Think about Raikage was up in there kicking to his death( surely by amaterasu) so he can his speed, plus Gravity pulling him dowm even faster. And Gaara sand got there before Raikage almost killed him self.
Faster sand means Raikage can't hit him, and raikage has shown no feats in genjutsu or ninjutsu just taijutsu so he' like lee and guy with 5 gates open. Add that to the fact that Gaara can make the whole terrain a desert, he wins with a giant sandburial.
Gaara is stronger then every kage except for oonoki, call me a fanboy if you will, but what i said here are all facts, its just up to you to say if he's stronger or not
Im not sure if Oonoki is really stronger than Gaara. i havent really seen him at his best, but if you call the new mangas his best then, i would say Gaara is stronger. Otherwise that is my list. lol.
lol shinobi x whether Gaara has surpassed the raikage is debatable ( i guess i mean the dude can't fly and he only has one hand) but Raikage with only his one hand and only his taijutsu isn't ever going to beat oonoki

Gaara has grow stronger but he's sand is still the sand(it should even be slow or not even there coz it was becoz of the 1 tail that gave him that ability so i still don't get how he could still have it)
Amat is at the speed of sight & the raikage is faster than the speed of sight
so how can gaara's sand be faster than the speed of sight,his sand was on time coz he was there before the attack not during the attack(becoz he already saw the raikage attack sasuke & lost his arms)thats why he said''if u could have attacked u would have lost ur legs'' how is it possible that he knew this without seeing the 1st attack....if u want anymore facts i can,just ask.
Gaara came a long way from being the 1 tails but i think in battle strength hes in 4th ,1st would be oonoki ,then 2nd A ,then tsunade 3rd ,gaara 4th, mei 5th, In knowledge 1st oonoki,2nd tsunade, 3rd raikage, 4th is a tie gaara and mei only because mei i really know nothing about outside of battle so i think gaara overall is 4th in the list because if he had about 4-5 more years on him he would be 2nd to 3rd on my list only my opinion Anbu Intel!!!
Well everyone have there believe.. One thing i notice is that you can never change the opinion of others, i mean they will only change if they want to..
I wouldn't say gaara is weak because he does a lot with his sand manupilation jutsu, but he has the least amount of chakra compared to the other kages.

I disagree with you on him being stronger than the Raikage. His sand can't keep up with A's speed. His sand blocking A's kick is in no way an indication of it being as fast as A. I believe he's the 3rd strongest kage after Oonoki and A.
yeah i agree with you. because how can his sand keep up with A when he dodged amaterasu at point blank range? second of all where's your proof his sand is faster than amaterasu? i just want to hear your evidence thats all not trying to dis you
So me saying Gaara isn't the strongest kage is trolling? You must not know the meaning of the word. Neither one would be able to hit each other so the fight would come down to stamina and who has more? That would be A.
I can see you are a fan but to put him above the Raikage you funny you forgot he beat sasuke and sasuke had a better defense that garra and he was about to kill him till garra got in the way(he would of lost a leg but he would of won).I think he has gotten stronger but not so strong as to be second maybe 3rd or 4th.
