Gaara is supposed to....

He is supposed to be able to control iron sand and gold dust since he is able to turn minerals in the earth into their sand form ( iron and gold are minerals in the earth!) and also, he is supposed to be able to nullify all earth attacks since he can turn rocks into sand.

Edit: he doesnt have magnetism so he cant control iron sand and i think he controlled gold dust from his father.

The 3rd and 4th both use magnetic element to control their sands but Gaara seems to be able to use them (although not the real things) but... come on.

I think the wind release was granted to him by shukaku since he had only used it in tailed beast form but who knows, he might have it after all he is from the wind country.

He did. He was able to defeat two kages, stronger than his tailbeast, and he's displayed great skills analytical making him one of the strongest characters around.However, it would be cool if received another power up e.g. being able to drain people's chakra.

I hate chakra absorption, it is a cowardly move. Maybe some badass summoning jutsu will do.

he doesnt need powerups. hes receieved new uses of his sand like sensing and the pyramid though, and being able to mix it with suiton users

I hate chakra absorption, it is a cowardly move. Maybe some badass summoning jutsu will do.

you talk about cowardly yet suggest summoning which essentially makes it 2 vs 1?
