Sorry but Sasuke's Sasuno'o is pretty much enough to rape Gaara, and you know this yourself since you've got nothing for Gaara to counter Sasuno'o, Sasuke is faster than Gaara's sand thus Sasuke is able to hit Gaara with his Chidori so this too is a huge advantage for Sasuke. Sasuke also smarter than Gaara and is overall more versatile than Gaara. Sasuke is an Uchiha afterall, Gaara has no chance.

Sasuke > Gaara end of story.

Very good points, but I'll try to counter them:

Amaterasu/Enton is equal to Gaara's sand:
Enton nullified Gaara's sand techniques, making both jutsu equal in protection. As neither in those pictures hit the other one.

Raiton:
Chidori by itself wouldn't do much probably, but Sasuke has advanced his Chidori to using multiple different long range raiton.

Also, Gaara wasn't blocking a raiton attack from the 4th Raikage, he was grabbing the rest of the Raikage's body.

So raiton would still penetrate Gaara's sand.

Sasuke's ems susanoo:
If push comes to shove, from the little knoledge of Sasuke's final ems susanoo>Gaara.

All of Madara's susanoo wasn't long range. It was close range. Sasuke could just shoot/spam susanoo arrow continuously at a safe distance until Gaara's sand won't help him anymore.

Good points but when Gaara is fighting, the battlefield plays a huge part in his performance.


Gaara is without a doubt, one of the most effective characters if he's in the Desert or perhaps the beach.

But if he's fighting Sasuke where there isn't much sand or anything to make sand out of, his chances lower by quite a margin.

3t sasuke with his superior intelligence defeated deidara while gaara with jinchuriki lost.
one point to be noted.

gaara's only protection is sand.if gaara is fighting in a desert only then he can spam his sand aatacks but rather than that he only have his small pot of sand which is not enough since ems sasuke can literally spam amaterasu which would give him the victory.

if gaara is in desert he wins with high difficulty but except that he loses in all scenario

Gaara only cared about the village. He used his last chakra to move the shield.

Oh yea Gaara can also make addittional sand by his own sand. Plus Sand is strong against fire.

On topic, I think TS made a very good point. But on a personal view, I think its a draw. Sasuke cant seems to hurt Gaara and it seems to apply to Gaara's attack on Sasuke too.
