You do know she is talking about Itachi right? She is saying only a sharingan user or Nagato can fight evenly with Itachi, because I know that most of those people can't beat Itachi.

RockLee would easily fall to his genjutsu, Gai too. Bee has a decent chance. KM Naruto has a chance too. Oonoki, nah, I think he'll put up a fight, but then his back would give out, and itachi would come in for the kill.

Imma say this again, Itachi's genjutsu is activated by looking at some part of his body. So if you can see him then you can get caught in it. Logic

He said he could fly faster than Onoki? That is some BS. I think that is why Onoki went and not Gaara, because he is faster, secondly have you seen gaara fight? Everytime he just sits back and moves his sand, he is not fast enough to dodge the Totsuka sword.

And Gaara can't pull out Itachi from his Susanoo. Possibly with Onoki, but who knows?

About the genjutsu, I'd think twice before I disagree with Kishimoto. Since Kishi's 3rd Databook names all his illusions including Tsukuyomi short range then at long range his means of casting genjutsu won't work since you're out of the tech's range.

Gaara likened Sasuke's susanoo to Madara's and used that to counter it, he can liken Madara's genjutsu casting means to Itachi's too.

About the genjutsu, I'd think twice before I disagree with Kishimoto. Since Kishi's 3rd Databook names all his illusions including Tsukuyomi short range then at long range his means of casting genjutsu won't work since you're out of the tech's range.

So apparently it magically stops working even though you can see his eyes or finger?

What does short range even mean? Did it give it a numerical value? 50 yards? 100?

There is alot of ambiguity in the Naruto manga, I just use logic. Clearly your hatred of Itachi is keeping you from doing this, because Itachi explained his genjutsu.

Itachi said that he can do genjutsu even if you only look at his little finger. So if you can see his little finger but take a step back what does that do? How about two steps back? 5? 50?

If you can see his finger, or his eyes, or basically any body part he wants, he can get you in a genjutsu. So the manga says you have to look at him, while the databook says short range. Hmm, what am I going to trust? Common sense and the manga? Or a very poorly defined limitation to the distance of his technique?

Didn't kakashi say itachi can put someone under genjutsu by pointing a finger at him
i'm sure he would have an opportunity to put gaara under a genjutsu and if he paralizes him and makes him stand still he could burn him down with some of his fire techniques or wit amaterasu

Databook DOES not list all itachi's genjutsu.... it lists all he used....... ao and shikaku clearly state itachi is the only man able to cast genjutsu outside sensor range

agree, gaara is a pretty bad matchup for itachi especially if you put them in a desert.

and itachi has only used a water jutsu in the presence of a large body of water, and it was never stated or implied in the manga that water is gaara's weakness. In fact doton or earth element is suiton or water's weakness. The sand's only cannon weakness is oil.

Gold is also sand's weakness, cannon. Or did u forget that garra's dad used it to stop the 1-tails from destroying the sand village

Common sense tells me that fires need oxygen to grow and that is where they get that logic from. I have never seen wind put out a fire, I have seen fires fed by wind though and become huge infernos. If you ask any firefighter what they fear, they are going to answer " a drought and high winds". Believe it or not most things in the manga make some sort of sense.

You want to argue a technique that was never named or shown? Its like me saying that Minato can defeat the entire shinobi world because A said 'he could never be surpassed' its just plain stupid. And there's no way Itachi can put you under genjutsu outside the range of sensors because if Itachi a non sensor, can identify and put someone under genjutsu outside a sensor's range, people won't need sensors, I believe he can put someone under genjutsu and keep you under the genjutsu even if you go as far as a sensor's range.
