Vegito knew that the dragon balls would not revive buu's absorption victims since they are a part of majin buu. The only way to rescue them is to remove them manually, by getting inside buu's body and tearing them from those cocoon's that trap them. Vegito has the memory of both his fusess, he knew that buu would sometime have to use that desperate move to turn him into candy, he knew such worthless magic had no affect on him.

Trunks was simply fighting on par with gods. Nobody in dbz is god level and nobody in dbz can put up a fight against god level characters.

Whatever fanfic plan you're saying Vegito had isn't telling me how he knew what would happen if he got turned into chocolate and eaten.

It's quite simple how Trunks would beat Buu. He is faster, stronger, and he would simply dodge his attacks then proceed to completely destroy him with a gallick gun. Also you still can't give me a reason how Vegito or Buu can beat current Trunks.

I already know Vegito is far superior to Buu and no Buu is not godly. He has never fought god tier characters and he is weaker than a guy who is weaker than god tiers. Just accept the fact that god ki is far stronger than any type of ki dbz characters possess and whether or not what Trunks has is god ki ( which I believe it is ) he still fought on par with ssb Goku, ssb Vegeta, Zamasu, and Black.
