I still would say he still wrecks. Unlike Naruto where you have to look at how characters matchup, you can just use A>B>C logic and power scaling in DBZ most of the time. He's pretty much slightly weaker than black, ssb Goku, and ssb Vegeta who are all on another level compared to those two guys even together.

First off he wouldn't get turned into chocolate.

He simply has more raw power and is greater in physical attributes. SSB Goku and ssb Vegeta got wrecked before they went back and got the mafuba jar. Trunks was fighting black and Zamasu and gave them trouble and he survived against them. Also when Goku and Vegeta came back Trunks went back to fight black and Zamasu and was giving them trouble.

Vegito is powerful but the top tiers in super are on a different level. If Vegito happens now though that's a whole other story.
