I could see it being useful for dangerous situations as a last resort, or heck, give them to civilians so they could protect themselves. Well, maybe they do bring that up, but in the spoilers, Naruto seems to be rejecting the very idea of it.

I guess for civilians it would be great, it can be used to help in their every day lives I see nothing wrong there. Like you said for civilians it be great for protection, although it won't do much good against pro Ninjas.

Boruto's device takes no skill to use. Even a non-ninja can use it. Although Naruto wasn't fully aware of Kyuubi at the time, he later had to learn how to control Kyuubi so it still requires skill and effort. If Naruto allowed the device to be used then there would be no need to train which isn't good for ninjas.

This is what I find the most interesting. Momoshiki and Kinishiki are the retainers of the Ootsutsuki and look to accomplish Kaguya's wish, and are loyal to Kaguya. Clearly Momoshiki wasn't what Kaguya was building her army for. So, the huge threat is still unknown. Still, Momoshiki sound freaking powerful! The spoilers say Kurama mode, but the camrips clearly show the RSM eyes with no pigmintation, meaning you need to replace each feat from Kurama Naruto, to RSM Naruto.

Which is exactly why I said the device is holding him back in instances where he could of won without it, he used the shuriken jutsu Sasuke taught him, and almost-perfected it. Alas, he doesn't use his own skills, but rather goes with the device instead.

He is pretty strong in his generation, I would say the feats speak for themselves as well. It's such a shame that he has such a unique rasengan ability, and Kishimoto avoids him using it the entire match. Throws it, hits somebody, and then goes in for the kill to finish the job.

Movie may have killed Boruto's hype for the movie but he still got potential. It's just sucks that movie advertised him as if he could do all these techniques :|
