Full intel or No intel

So when doing a vs thread what would be the best way to prove A > B

Look at it this way

Ninja A fought with ninja B and ninja A won with no intel like a real shinobi battle would generaly go when its a random encounter.
Now when they faced off again both at 100% and ninja B won cause he had full intel on his opponent.

In theory it would make him stronger but when talking about an actual "realistic" battle odds are they have no intel on each other.
So is it better to go wih no intel or full intel when saying ninja A > ninja B

Ninja A is better mainly because he won without knowing anything about the opponent I'd say ninja b is a smarter ninja and better at stratagies while ninja a is an overall stronger ninja

No intel is more realistic, but full intel describes who is stronger. If someone has full intel they will counter a technique then launch one of their own. The opponent having full knowledge should then counter that technique and move on to their own. It would basically come down to who can have the last uncounterable move, which would be the ultimate victor.

Let's say, if one of the contendants is an Uchiha, then No intel on both sides will give him an immense advantage, since the opponent wouldn't know not to look him in the eye.

While full intel would put them at a disadvantage, since then the enemy will know not too look into the eyes, rendering most Genjutsu ineffective.

Most of the time, I just use manga knowledge when making a thread, it's often the simplest way :y

And honestly it is a tough choice XD! The more realistic thing is that any two shinobi who fight may have from zero to partial Intel.

For example: Kakashi vs Zabuza...Kakashi was aware of who Zabuza was as well as the fact Zabuza used silent killing.
An example where they knew each other: Gaara vs His dad.....Gaara pretty much knew his father's ability as His father knew his....Gaara won.

I think the better shinobi is easily the one who wins without knowledge....being able to decipher an opponent's fighting style, and implementing one's own in order to most effectively counter them shows the greatest combination of strength, intelligence, cunning, and overall will power to win.

That's why people like Shikamaru are great shinobi.....no he doesn't go and solo people like Madara or Naruto.....but he has the intelligence and planning to best far stronger opponents.

So as a Summary: No Intel fights show the better shinobi. Intel fights shows who has the biggest guns or the elemental advantage to press from the start...

Naruto is half the ninja Sasuke is, because he fought against Pain with intel

Usually you say it in the thread, whether they have full intel, no intel, or just the intel they would have from the actual manga.

But some shinobi has their greatest strength in the intel or no intel part.

No living or dead shinobi, could beat Pain, since only J-man figured it out, because he had seen those 6 paths of pain before, realizing, he was controlling dead bodies.

See, this is where 99% of all vs threads falls apart. The reason for this is because people fail to realize the difference between the facts/abilities of characters and kishimoto needing one character to defeat the other. Lets take the recent Edo Nagato vs Edo Itachi thing. (I am in no way arguing for either character, I am merely using this scenario as a statement). Most people turn to the manga as proof that Itachi is better than Nagato, but they fail to distinguish the very basic fact that Kishimoto NEEDED Naruto and his friends to defeat Nagato. Otherwise the story couldnt continue. As long as that distinction is VERY CLEAR, then there is no real difference between full intel or no intel as the core characters would either fail to piece together a strategy or they would succeed in doing so.
