Haha well I just had enough of people saying "No Sasuke and Itachi beat Minato easily as Minato has no jutsu to get past Susano'o". Though Itachi is my favourite im no fanboy.

yeah i'd noticed that. it has a lot of implications as well...
a. minato can teleport anywhere around a kunai
b. minato can teleport anything to one of his kunai without touching it (a lot of trapping opportunities there)
c. minato can widen the radius of the teleportation by increasing the amount of chakra he puts into it
d. he can also control WHAT he teleports in that radius, as shown by the fact that Bunta did not teleport along with Minato and the kyuubi.
i'd like to see more of minato, i don't think he's shown the full capabilities of ftg really.

This is just more proof that Minato possesses one of the most versatile jutsus we've been shown so far, and he damn well knows how to use it. This guy is top 10 material easy.

I see what you're saying, but they aren't nearly as skilled as minato with FTG. It would quite possibly be a far different story for him. He was able to teleport kyuubi in the first place... Kakashi can't even do something like that with kamui, unless he has kyuubi chakra. What i'm saying is, his skill level with FTG isn't easy to compare with those 3
Good thread, but I believe that your examples resemble more of Minato's Space-Time Barrier then the "true" Flying Thunder God Technique. (Though, the Space-Time Barrier is a derivative of the FTG, so I guess I am just splitting hairs)
To teleport himself or people thanks to FTG, Minato doesn't need contact with the person he wants to teleport at all. You may ask how does he do? He simply uses the radius of his FTG. What makes me believe that FTG needs no contact? It's Genma's squad version of FTG. Look at this pic carefully(above panel):

If you look closely you will notice that they don't touch Mei at all. They simply join their hand in order to perform the jutsu. Which means they teleported Mei without touching her. The radius of FTG was enough to make that possible
A further proof of it? It's Minato himself when he teleported Kyubi:

Notice that Minato didn't touch Kyubi at all. Kyubi was laying on the ground with Gamabunta above him(Minato above Gamabunta), but he managed to teleport Kyubi elsewhere without touching him using the radius
So like you can see, Minato can teleport someone without touching him. It's a simple trick that FTG allow him to do, but obviously the person must be in the range of the jutsu
