From what we've heard, was Kaguya reasonable and justified in eating the fruit?

Was she justified?

Either way, war is still happening.

She's basically an extension of Nagato's Plan. War with periods of Peace sprinkled here and there.

Totally, as there was seemingly no other way to stop the wars.

No, although she may have prevented one war, how many did she give rise to via allocating the access of chakra to mere humans?

Either way it would've ended in ultimate destruction, she sacraficed herself to ensure order to the world. She had to eliminate possible threats, to enstill her vision of utopia, were everyone is able to live in peace and harmony, and since she had goddess like powers she probably was the type who thrived on logic and eliminated threats.

Well she did steal from a God, so she should have expected the Juubi to come after her and kill more people in the process.

Oh really? You're making a huge assumption for someone we got like 3 panels of.
Call me intuitve <3 and it's basically how "that story" goes, the self scarafices princess, who either was forced to do it, or choose to do it, gains godly powers, becomes this paragon of logic, peace, and justice, and saves the world from distruction until something comes and ruins it.

NO it's an inference.

That depends or her intentions. There are possibilities for this.

Maybe, she just wanted to become powerful, then she'd be wrong, she would be too greedy. Why would she be the only one to deserve the power? Why does she deserve it? Her action wouldn't be justified

Maybe she wanted to save only her people. She would be wrong as well, because she would be selfish. Why only her race deserve to be saved? The other people are not worse than them, and there were other people who also would deserve better oportunities. Her action wouldn't be justified

Maybe she wanted to rule everybody with power. She would be wrong too, she would be starting a dictatorship in which everybody would have to submit to her will and nobody would have rights.

Maybe she just wanted to end the war. Then, she wouldn't be wrong, as she would be fighting for peace for all the people.
In this last case sceneario, we can't judge her by the consequences(like things the way they are now, the juubi unleashing it's anger, people getting a more powerful arsenal to fight with, etc) as she couldn't possibily know what eating the fruit would cause. Of course, she should've known that there was a reason not to eat it and that her actions could have consequences, so she wasn't very smart, but her intentions were not evil. Her actions would be justified.

The thing is, there are 3 scenarios in which her action wouldn't be justified, and only one in which her action would be justified. So, there is 75% of her action not being justified.

But no seriously, she should've grabbed a snickers and left that fruit alone

It wasn't reasonable. It was clear that it would have led to more fighting.. It's like people only fighting with bow and arrows then introducing guns and expecting them not to use and fight with em.

That is why he is a tragic hero....will be one.

Wait of course not, in the years to come he might even be considered the heartless man that chained everyone to a genjutsu just like Kaguya might have been thought of as the dictator that killed countless ppl. Theres a reason why Hashirama ddnt know about her maybe that part of history was intentionally erased

It appears Kaguya had a very similar stance as the older brother on how to create peace. Rikudou seems to have been influenced by his mothers ideas of peace which clearly didn't work out and this is most likely why he decided to try a different method and go with the younger brothers version of peace

Well Kaguya's forces were fighting a war with some enemy nation, and in war, you do whatever it takes to overcome your adversary. Such is the matter of war. In the end, it isn't justified nor is it unjustified.

She is not responsible for the idioticness of the people after her.

She stopped a war, so that is good. Juubi's actions are upon the juubi not Kaguya.
