Seen a dozen different frowns & smiles
And suffered for every crime so lowly

It was all to end up right here
Where I belong beside you
I no longer have to fight fear
Because I finally have something true

I thought the stars would never shine again
I was lost deep in the dark of the moon
But the future is written in pencil not pen
And I was admitting defeat too soon

Once again I see the truth in the light
I wonder if it looks the same from the other side
Can you see it or is it too bright
You are so different from the ones who lied

So I hope you see what I do
and I hope you can feel what I feel
Because right now all I really want is you
And it is your heart I'm looking to steal
