Several things were established in this chapter, some of which made sense, but many of it did not add up.
It was stated quite a few chapters ago and in the previous chapter that Kaguya ate the fruit of the Shinju to end the war, which gave her the power of Chakra. As a result of this, the Shinju went beserk and transformed into the Juubi and started rampaging across the world.
Yet, in this latest chapter it is stated that Kaguya had the power of all three of the Great Dojutsu with her normal two eyes being possessing the byakugan and her third eye possessing the sharingan with Hagaromo stating that Kaguya used it on her own people, thus performing the Infinite Tsukyomi.
How is it possible that Kaguya had people trapped within cocoons that were connected to the roots of the Shinju when the Shinju transformed into the Juubi not long after Kaguya ate the fruit of the Shinju that gave her those powers in the first place. IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!
Unless of course that panel showing the people tied to the tree was a vision/scenario of the Infite Tsukyomi at work that Hagaromo was showing Naruto, then that clears things up a bit, but if not then I have found yet another plothole in the manga...
