My computer has popped up with a SHITLOAD of corrupt files, MyspaceIM, iTunes, MSN, almost EVERYTHING is corrupted.

Needs help on restoration! O_O

Should i use system Recovery?

I'm also infected with a trojan, can this be the cause?

most certainly it is from the virus
this virus corrupt million of computers per year
i think format is the only thing u can do right now cause the virus has damaged everything in ur windows .. even if u delete the virus using an antivirus nthn will happen cause the virus did it work

DO you know what i do when the virus gets to my PC i just format it and make sure you have a good antivirus mine is NOD-ESET Smart Security
BTw sistem restore cant help you with viruses it just restores days when you installed programs

Trojan won't affect your program and make it corrupted.. Your program corrupted most properly is attack by virus. I not suggesst you to use system restore because even you restore to previous save point, the virus is still inside your system.. maybe the virus already damage your windows file.. so, format your windows is the best way.. ^^

Its complicated 1st you must have a Windows XP cd ready then enter the bios thats the thing when you power on your PC then chose delete particion its hard you must check it your self

However, once your computer is back to normal (or once you get a new one), get Windows Live OneCare. With this, your chance of getting another virus will be slim to none.

lsn the only way u can repair ur windows is by formatting it
take ur pc to an expert and he will do his work
ps. u should give him ur windows cd too
