Either than the obvious, influence on kids, you could also write these too:
1. the already constructed gender and social identities, instead of getting reconsidered and revalued by the youth of Japan they tend to get "re-established". As an example you can give the different ways of politeness in Japan depending on the social status of the people talking, the noble characters that appear in some anime series, even the way most anime girls characters are treated. like what Kakashi said to Sakura: There are other things a woman can do other than being a shinobi, implying that she can get married and wash the dishes AND feel happy and complete about it>.>
2. There is also an idea of egocentricity and patriotism, since most anime story lines have a folklore background (like the Kyuubi in Naruto, that's mythology).
3. This form of art, the manga drawing has become the only recognizable art of Japan, in a way that the whole world believes that this is what Japanese can do, letting aside all other aspects of Arts & Crafts.
4. You can also refer to stereotypes of the japanese society (every society has its own) and to how those are showed through the anime. For example, the stereotype "big eyes-pure heart" is a stereotype of Japan, and if you notice in most anime this is obvious. Take Elfen Lied, that you like so much. The eyes of Nyuu and Lucy are not the same, or how anime girls are blushing after a compliment they get from someone they like.
5. Most anime have an idea of super-natural. Even if it is a Kyuubi, or a Zanpakutou, or extendable hands, or super strength, most of them have that. So you could close this part of your paper with something about idealism.
That is a really silly question >.> Each author gets inspired by a different thing, or just dreams about it but anyway:
1. Folklore.
2. Mythology and legends.
3. Personal Ideas.
4. The things he has read, heard, seen.
5. Personal experience of some things he has gone through in his/her life.
If I think of anything else I will post it here
