So currently of latest chapter has the manga expanded or revised the origin of quirks.

It was stated in beginning if the series at some point in the past people started manifesting quirks at some point seems there's a mystery to quirks origin.

Also side question for those who are reading the spin off series vigilante what you think?

For the first question; No, we know nothing about the origin.

I read the first two or so chapters of vigilante, felt too filler like so I dropped it.
