Fodder That Could've Become Badasses (Character Development Wise)

NOTE: I realize not all on this list are fodder, some are supporting characters, but you get the point.

Dosu Kinuta: LOOKED like a badass, but Melody Arm spams ruined it all, killed in less than a minute by Gaara

Neji Hyūga: Lots of screen time in Part I, character ruined in Part II, killed off for absolutely no reason. More about the Hyūga's history as well as the Byakugan's could've been developed through him, but Kishimoto decided not to.

Sakura Haruno: Weak and useless in Part I, very helpful and capable ninja in Part II. Fought an awesome battle alongside Chiyo vs. Sasori, but by herself, only additions power wise are immense strength and medical abilities. Deserves more battle time as well. Can be fixed possibly in the next couple of chapters (hopefully)

Rest of Konoha 11: Lots of screen time in Part I, not so much Part II. Shown in insignificant moments after Rescuing the Kazekage arc. Characters have been left to die off such as Shino (who was EPIC in Part I) and Tenten (I could care less about her though lol)

The list goes on, but I want to hear what you guys have to say! Your thoughts are more important than mine!

Dosu definitely could have been cool. Also that big guy that Gaara killed in the forest. The one with the scar and umbrellas was cool. I thought that Neji never really had a purpose except to be a **** in Part 1. Part 2 was only to save Naruto.

He had a awesome unique looks and techniques.

He is basically fodder, but I don't get why Kishi would give him a unique style, personality, and ability (monitoring and presumably sensing) to just throw him away. I think he had some potential to be a liked character!

Lee had a goal, development and back story; but he is interfering with the message Kishi wants to give:
"If you are not blessed from birth in a way; you ain't a s**t, geniuses and the destined ones will always be ahead of you"
Shino was strong and interesting; but ain't no screentime

They are not fodders; but they could be more.

I'm gonna say this, EVERY ninja character in the manga has the potential to be good characters however there are just too many to focus on. Temari and Kankuro are both way underrated because of Gaara but they're awesome. Shikamaru because he only has one jutsu style. Ino because her body transfer but imagine if with "practice" aka creating it, she could simultaneously enter (enter your number here) brains and shut em down at once I.E. 10 ninja come at her she just mind wipes em that's the kind of stuff characters could have got if given consideration. Asuma was a jonin but we didn't see much from him except inspiring Ino-shika-cho. Konohamaru would be amazing if the manga went that far in the future. Ten ten ended up wielding a weapon from the goldsilver bros.

Speaking Of Sakua-chan...It's sad seeing the main heroine get left out in the cold by her author she can obtain this as she has amazing control of her charka and BTW she should have A major set of genjutsu by now but NO.....smh lol
