FMA vs Naruto

Yeah. The music of some of the FMA games was just awesome. But that was so 2007-09(?? long time back) when I heard that last.. Somehow I never got around to read it and keep getting distracted since I like to catch up in one go and I don't have time for it right now.

But comparions like this are seriouly unfair and unbalanced. Any series should be judged on it's own merits and demerits only.

Never played any of the games. Probably, don't really know. I haven't read the manga, but I watched both anime. I liked both, but brotherhood was superior. Fair enough. U_U

I agree, you can't really compare such things fairly, same goes for quite a lot of things.

I don't play games at all. I hardly have any time left for all that. But at another forum back then someone had once linked me some of them and I can still hear it fainly in my head. lol

But is you are going to compare you should make a list of things what you liked. Most probably the first thing you would notice would be a more tight plot. That's usully the best part of shorter series. Then art and the details. Some of the shorter stories have really good detailing. Not accessive to make you lose track of everything in the panel but just right.

The worst wirters are who start their series with a very good promise of something really intriguing and then after some 30-40 chapters ( when you get hooked) they lose the plot and inclination to writer it afterwords. Their ideas die and the manga after a hiatus of a few years is dropped completely. They simply give up on it. >_>

Bleach and Naruto started out monthly as well. Can imagine how different they may have been had that continued? It makes me a bit sad thinking about it. I really hate editors and publishers. Berserk is monthly and has been on-going for twenty-four years lols.

Seems weekly only. But I agree that the story and art quality would be better in monthly releases. But at the same time it can be very tiresome to wait. lol

I read a few monthly ones like Ao no exorcist. And the thing is I lost track of some of them at one point. Ubel Blatt- I find that have been unable to remember names of the characters and didn't even recognize one when he suddenly appeared after a gap. I had to use search who was he. So everything has it's pros cons.

As stated before, it's unfair to compare a a long series with a short, if you compare Naruto's first 50 episodes with FMA my answer will be Naruto. But overall, FMA, the last arc was a letdown.

Brotherhood by a long shot. Not only is it better then Naruto, but its better then 95% of the other manga/anime out there. Its widely considered one of the best series of all time.
