from that pic or that first part of the battle. God manIt wasn't real from the begining. They were standing still the hole time.

dude,take no offense,but go read the manga again,that little skirmish they had was REAL,it's hard to tell from the manga(it's more clearly seen in the anime) but he activated his tsukyomi after the skirmish,I will try to find that page for you if you want but let me run something by you real fast,before that fight was about to start sasuke took off his robe and after he broke the tsyukyomi the robe was gone meaning the fight had already happened and he already used those shuriken he had sealed around his arms,but even if you don't believe that, there is still the evidence that clearly shows you when he activated his tsukyomi, chapter 388 page 14 and it even shows the shuriken on the ground!!

I like the fact that the dude did his homework. His theory is not sound and he does not know his enemy. Minato is not the most powerful shinobi by any means.. However, the entire ninja world had their theories and no one was able to beat him. I just think he was extremely intelligent and had a wicked killer instinct. He has done nothing to show extreme power like the Raikage, Nagato, Itachi or even shitty Orochimaru..

I love Minato (thumbs up to all the fan boyz out there), but the character was never fully realized in the story. We only know about FTG, Rasengan, Kage Buun no Shuriken and Kage Buun no Kunai (the last 2 the poster had no knowledge of) .... Just like the rest of the shinobi in the Ninja world, we all have our theories....and just because i'm bias, MINATO WINS AGAIN and you all know this. We have yet to see or read a chapter of the manga where he is pwnd.

In response to that there is only one answer... Minato.
He was the only one to beat himself, by use of the death reaper seal to take his own soul. The nine-tails did not beat him, Madara did not even scratch him, Bee and A couldn't touch him, only Minato managed to beat himself.

Enjoy Naruto for what it is, a manga. It doesn't matter how much you hate Minato, he's still the manga's badass...and I don't even like him., Orochimaru should be the one with all the glory, seeing he is one of the most magnificent minds on the manga, and a powerful ninja. But that's how it is, emos love Itachi, gay people love Minato, frustrated villains love Orochimaru...

okay,minato IS a great ninja but it gets insane when people don't be realistic to the situations in which he fought,how can you say he defeated madara? I mean come on, madara doesn't exactly use much strategy he only uses ONE offensive technique,look what konan did to him,and the fight with A,if you can call that a fight,I mean did they engage in an ALL OUT battle using all kinds of different jutsus, no they didn't. I don't think they showed the fight with B so I can't speak on that.minato is an amazing ninja,nobody can take that away,but nobody is being fair to the other ninja when they say he BEAT them,I simply wish people were more realistic.

you're right,knocking away his kunai won't simply stop his FTG, but simply throwing his kunai to try and get an "unpredictable" angle won't simply stop shinobi like itachi either, remember itachi threw kunai and then threw more kunai to hit the previous kunai to make them hit blind spots behind a rock!! i'm saying he won't simply let them get into an "unpredictable" spot

so many people are misunderstanding, don't even try to downgrade him? some of us are not trying to downgrade him but there are SOME people and when I say some I mean a LOT of people who think FTG is invincible, us reasonable ones just try to help them understand why it's not. let me ask you this, is the FTG invincible? I should start a thread(im not of course) asking that same thing with only yes or no answers allowed,that would settle so much,it would let me know the people that I would never try to argue with ever again because it would be so pointless.

It's a spin off of the Minato thread. Can we just block anything that talks about Minato? He no longer plays much of a role in the series... He's just used as a filler character to explain as Naruto's father and used as a past figure for future plot explanations.

He's not integral like Naruto, Sasuke and Madara.

manga chapter 387 page 8,if it didn't require a handsign it would be no need for sasuke to be surprised that he could pull it off during a shootout,also the genjutsu battle ended before that and started again when he used tsukyomi,sasuke kept seeing thru his genjutsu with his sharingan and he said to sasuke "I'll take your word for it" or something like that,sasuke would have easily seen that it was a genjutsu like the one when he first entered the room and he fought it. i think i gave you enough evidence of that part,while you only said "believe me" and that it requires no hand sign,sorry but I can't believe you.and as for the second part,lol,do you think itachi will let all those kunai surround him? like I said earlier,he was able to make a clone and he has genjutsu,susano and amaterasu,fireball jutsu,and the tsukyomi lol,he wouldn't be stupid enough to let it build on one side let alone other sides,it would just go into another phase of the battle.

Youre wrong if you know just a little of Itachis Genjutsu you would realize that it was a crowclone. When the clone got killed it didnt just disappear, it transformed into crows and THAT is a Genjutsu.


And yeah Itachi would block each kunai but after some time there are Kunai everywhere around him. You cant controll exactly where deflected kunai are landing, especially when there are hundreds of kunais.

I totally agree.

To all the other itachifanboys who didnt realize that the whole first part of battle was a fake of Itachi. Tsukoyomi is the most powerfull illusion, it also can make you believe that everything what happens, is real. And it feels real.
SO its completly wrong that Itachi formed handsigns during the faked shurikanbattle

that's a pointless argument, if minato only died becuase he killed himself,then the same can be said of itachi, he let sasuke kill him, so name one character who can actually beat itachi? my point is asking that proves nothing, i know full well that there are shinobi that can beat itachi, possibly minato.
