Fliying cars replacing normal cars.. myth or reality?

That is the question.. Do you guys really think normal cars will be replaced by fliying cars in the not to distant future? I highly doubt it, I think its a myth.. How would it work.? Just imagina thousends of cars fliying in the sky, how would they all arrive to their destination..? They will crash, and I just dont see the possibility of fliying signs, or highways in the sky, that will terminate the purpose of fliying

Myth, it takes times to develop and construct. If it was develop to expand then it would even take more time beacuse some country don't have the needed technology.

Thats one of the reasons the GPS was created. It would work like it did with planes. The Gps will tell u what direction to fly in. They actually have a flying car but its 50 million dollars. Its basically a car with wings xd

Yep, I could see that as a more normal possibility than fliying cars replacing normal cars.. It would have a motion, detective sensor, and drive by itself

At first I was like "that's a good idea" but helicopters are really loud and...I would rather have a really small like jet or something.

But I think...I don't think cars will fly for a long time yet. I think we will get ike self guided cars though that like have radars and stuff to drive them selves...it could be nice cuz disabled people (I'm not saying all people with disabilities can't drive fyi I mean like....blind people or people who's legs are like paralyzed) could drive also. But it would take the fun out of driving though D:

flying cars arent that far off, they probably wont be the cars in the everyday kinda way but they will come

technology and science are progressinf more and more each day (most of it anyway)

Yes, that theory is very accurate, a car that drives by itself, so people that are blind or paralize can move around, that is almost a certainty.. I can fell it

I doubt flying cars will ever be a mass transportation type of invention. The idea is cool in theory, but in practical use it would be too difficult. I think a fixed track or self driven cars like seen in I, Robot or Minority Report are much more realistic.

Yes it would be wayyy complicated.. I just dont imagine signs and driveways in the sky, that would defeat the whole purpose of fliying cars... lol

Not cool. Pollution is already disballancing the ecosystem. Have you ever given a thought to those poor birds?

There are other things to consider as well like if a car crashes in mid air it will falling all over us... they will have to monitor the traffic in the air like they do for Aeroplanes, wouldn't they and a lot of other things..

I also watched on NG or somewhere that there are flying trains, which moved on some kind of special tracks so they don't derail. This could be possibly used in the creating of those flying cars so there's no chaos and no crushes.
However, I'd rather believe that those cars would be normal cars that had the possibility of flying.

I don't see it happening. It's pretty useless too. Cool idea, but realistlicly it's a bad one.
