So you want megarime, flip?

Well, lets start by doing some chakra enhanced back flips. Try doing them now (description, every step, etc).
For starters, I assume a stable stance, bending my knees, placing my feet parallel to each other and keeping my body and head pointing straight ahead. Lifting my arms up to a horizontal angle in chest-height, I channel chakra through my feet and into the soles of my shoes. With a sudden jerk, I swing my arms downwards, bending my knees further down and lowering my body. Quickly, I swing my arms up again, this time setting off with both legs and releasing the chakra under my soles in a burst. Using my arms to navigate myself, I start to 'flip backwards' in mid-air. Halfway through the flip, I twist my body and create a circular form with my limbs, stretching my arms and legs out to make my landing easier. Having my arm fully stretched, I easily put my palm to the ground and twist my arm to navigate the rest of my body into a graceful landing that resembles a wheel.

Not with your legs completely extended thus not a complete cartwheel. ^^

Again; I assume a stable stance, placing my feet parallel with each other. This time, however, I only bend down in one knee, leaning to that side in a pretty accurate imitation of a stretching-excercise. I reach out with my arm, putting my palm against the ground and setting off with my now stretched other leg. Twisting my body in mid-air, I put my other hand to the ground in the middle of the carthwheel and extend my previously stretched leg, allowing me to finish in a wheel-like shape similar to my previous 'landing'.

Hashirama does a quick one handseal while inhaling and unleashes a barrage of 3 fire balls in quick succession. In such a tight range (we are close range from each other) doing handseals for a water technique or defense is not that good of an idea as time is not on your side. So, perhaps flipping around is an option.... *hint hint*

Taking a half-step forwards with my left leg, I bend my knees and channel chakra into the soles of my boots. Without hesitation, I set off with my left leg, using the chakra under my soles to increase the velocity of the jump. Twisting my body in mid-air, I front-flip easily, pulling my knees up to my chest to make myself as small as possible. As I'm three fourths through the flip, the fireballs pass beneath me, sizzling the hairs on the back of my neck but leaving me unscathed as I land securely on both feet.

Description:
A simple Taijutsu move, Flip pertains to a set of specific movements that the ninja can execute to dodge, counter, avoid or simply to move on the battlefield in a more advantageous way.While any ninja can do this simple movement, this technique takes it to another level by, through training, combining it with chakra and making it that much faster, combining the muscle strength with focusing chakra into the limbs. This specific set of movements consists on flips, either lateral flips (or cartwheels) back flips or front flips. The user will charge his muscles and spring his body, performing either a lateral, front or a back flip, with or without the help of his hands. If he uses his hands he can do up to 4 consecutive flips that will bring him from short to mid range from his initial position. The speed of the flips is directly proportionate to the skill the user has in Taijutsu and can be enough to dodge certain techniques/attacks if the ninja is skillfull enough. Since its a basic Taijutsu movement, the user can perform it to attack by using weapons or techs that would logically be usable in the situation and with the Flip technique.

Say I'm a Taijutsu Master with my Weights off (I'm told EIGMs get Weights auto). How far could one stretch this? I'm bound to mid-range, yes, but would 'more speed' equal less flips needed to cover a certain distance, or?

Not really. It would just mean you'd be able to flip a bit faster. Also, yes, EIG gets weights auto.

Just remember that size of the technique counts for this. So if the tech is too big you can't didge it like this.
