The Hachibi is alive, the paths are all dead bodies being manipulated by Nagato's chakra hence the chakra receivers. They do not each have their own (alive and active) mind. They are just animated dead bodies all using Nagato's chakra and control. One mind.

It doesn't matter. They all have separate sensory nerves, so catching one in a genjutsu wouldn't affect the others which is why the other paths were not affected when the first 3 were caught.

If they are only "visually" linked, then how can Nagato hear what his Paths can hear? Oh, and remember when Nagato destroyed Konoha? He deactivated every other Path to focus the power into the Deva Path only. After his Deva Path destroyed Konoha, he reactivated the other Paths.

P.S. When Pain fought Jiraiya, I believe he used that whole part with the genjutsu to his advantage.

There's no proof that they can all hear what each other hears. I know he can deactivate paths, but if he's caught in genjutsu himself, he can't.

Of course they all have separate sensory nerves, but visual genjutsu affects the sight, and if they're all seeing the same thing they should all be affected.

Read this.

I think Nagato has a shield for gengutsu...

This was after he defeated Jiraiya. He created a shield of it.

Very interesting, but I think this is a commonplace mental wall where the user is protected in part from invasive, mind-reading genjutsu. They would still be affected by ocular jutsu such as Tsukiyomi (didn't spell that right). We also saw a similar trick with Kisame, but it doesn't mean he was immune to genjutsu.

Ma and Pa's genjutsu effects sight aswell... but the other 3 paths were not caught in the genjutsu.
Do you understand what they mean by "affect their senses"?
Using sound or looking into the opponents eyes is just a means of casting the genjutsu. That has nothing to do with which senses are effected. Once it has been cast, most genjutsu's affect all of the targets senses. This means that everything they see, hear, smell, touch and taste is an illusion. Ma and Pa's genjutsu effects them visually aswell, making them believe they are trapped inside that water coffin.

Everything that Nagato's Paths hear he can hear. Now, because Nagato can hear what they can hear, why wasn't he caught in Jiraiya's genjutsu?

Not one page says that they only share their vision:

This is getting to be too much. If you don't agree, I clearly cannot make you. Feel free to argue amongst yourselves.

Ino's dad said that it is a strong genjutsu shield. Ocular genjutsu is no exception.

I just gave you the databook(strong facts) pages. Not one page limits their link to just the visual.

Okay I'm going to state the obivious here. Itachi cannot beat the 6 paths of pain. Especially with genjutsu! Itachi genjutsu whille powerful only effects one person at a time and it severly hurts him to use it after one time. No possible way he using it against 6 paths who can disrupt each other chakar to free them from it in the first place. Effecting one path with a genjutsu doesn't effect the others. Unless it was a aoe genjutsu in the first place
2nd and possibly the most important tsukiyomi is useless against the paths. How do people not understand that. The don't feel pain, no pun intended. You are not harming anything. The paths are already dead bodies. Genjutsu disrupt chakra which is what is powering the paths. That all it would be doing.

Taking nothing away from Itachi. He's a great 1vs1 fighter but he get owned by the paths. He doesn't have the chakra or techniques to bring them down. I mean come on his own techniques hurts his body. He couldn't handle a high level fight that we are starting to see now.

We ALL know that this was some attempt at saying Itachi could beat the 6 Paths, the Paths are all immune to pain so Tsukuyomi is pointless. The Frog Song is the most powerful Genjutsu ever, it's borderline unavoidable.
