sorry if in wrong section

I recently removed some software from my computer and now for some reason my labtop does not have sound!

Can anyone tell me why / how to get it back without putting harmful software on my computer?

Damn bro...you should use windows 7....anyways I'm not too knowledgeable about XP so try clicking on start, type in system restore in the search box, when it loads click on the date you want to restore it to then be patient(it's not as hard as it sounds).

You might have to re-install drivers for your sound/speakers. Google the drivers you need to install with the model and make of your laptop.
Also you could do system restore from control panel to return your computer settings from the last backup

Try googling for a software that lists what hardware you have.
Then, go to the website of your sound-card's brand and look for the driver that is made for that sound-card :)
