Ok, sorry if this turns into a rant but its also a question lolz

So i am downloading true blood right now and i had to get up for a minute, and so no one sees my screen with anything up i close everything. This is a problem because i have adhd and cant ever ****ing remember that if i close firefox my download dies as well, does anyone know a setting i can change for something to maybe pop up and remind me that im downloading something before i close?
