Lets turn up the heat! Rin says as he puts on aviators.

He gathers his superheated chakra, focusing on molding it in such as way that the heat is intensified greatly.

Just a heads up, I'm going to fire it in your general direction. Don't worry I wont aim for your body, I just want to see if I can make you fall. Rin said as he gathered even more superheated chakra.

I fired a small but very hot flame 6 feet to the right of you, and you stumble a little bit.

There we go. Rin said as he helped you get up.

If I were to use this jutsu in battle, I would aim it at their upper body, because they would have to not only dodge the fire but the heat by getting to mid range so they don't get sent to the ground. If someone used this on my, I would use a water shield big enough to block the fire along with the heat. Rin said right before he preformed the technique on one of his clones, making it fall to the ground.

With the flame coming towards him, Mystogan formed a layer of stone over his clothing (simply to avoid unnecessary nudity), allowing the flames to pass over him harmlessly. As a result, he didn't so much as flinch.

Rank: B
Type: Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20 (-15 per turn to remain active)
Damage points: N/A (+10 to taijutsu moves)
Description: This Technique coats the users body with stones, making them much more resistant to attacks, at the cost of their speed. Whilst using this technique, the user can even change their appearance, but once the technique is either defeated or worn off the users original appearance is shown. The user whilst in this armor is resistant to B rank ninjutsu techniques but is vulnerable to Lightning Techniques.

You won't be making me move with a jutsu like that. Now, shall we continue?
( Katon: Shōkasou ) - Fire Release: Small Fire Stream
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will create a small short flame at the opponent. This flame is capable of making the target collapse due to the heat of the technique. This technique requires no handseals.
The next technique uses the Snake, Ram, Monkey, Boar, Horse, and Tiger handseals. Then, inhale, mold chakra, blah blah blah. Then, form a ring with your fingers and exhale through the ring. As you exhale the air with katon chakra, you form the flame into a ball after it got past the ring of your fingers. This ball can be used one of two ways. The first is to sustain it within short-range of yourself, having a massive fireball just in front of you, incinerating everything. The second is to release the flame like a projectile, though as the flame moves it gets slightly smaller. However, it can reach up to mid-range this way.

So, like before, perform, use both methods, and then analyze like you have.

Well dangit. Rin said as rocks simply started to cling to your body, making the flame look exceptionally weak.

Well in any case, back to the molding of chakra. Rin said as he molded his superheated chakra. Next he put his hand to his mouth, and with his fingers formed a ring.

Katon, Gyokakuu no Jutsu! Rin said as he blasted a large fireball out into the open. He repeated the same steps to launch a series of smaller and weaker fireballs in the same direction.

If I were to use this in battle, I would probably mainly use the big fireball version of this technique, because there is a more chakra efficient version of the multiple fireballs version of this technique in the D ranks of Katon jutsu. Its mainly for distraction though. I would get in a head on battle with the opponent, making sure nothing is blocking me from my opponent, then launch the big fireball (maybe the little ones if they are easily controllable, unlike the D rank version.) It would be difficult to dodge because of the sheer number of projectiles/ the size of the fireball. If someone were to use this on me, I would nullify it with a water jutsu or my own Gyokakuu no Jutsu. Rin said as he practiced making the hand seals for the technique.

I believe there is a D rank version of the multiple fireballs version of this technique.

Just something for you to note. The one version of this technique is a single, large, stationary sphere. It just sits there, attached to you via a stream of fire, burning up everything. The other is a single ball of fire which is a projectile and moves up to mid-range. This jutsu doesn't make multiple fireballs in any of it's usage. (the video, the first thing Sasuke did wasn't this technique; it was the second) So, yes, the D-rank for multiple fireballs, but this one is greater than the D-rank technique which used one fireball.
( Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger, a ninja inhales air, and utilizing a large amount of fire chakra, spews a large fireball from their mouth after blowing through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user, incinerating everything in range. The fireball ignites externally. The fire ball can present itself in 2 forms: it can either be created by a stream of fire and sustained as a gigantic ball of flames in front of the user spanning up to short range or be released as a slightly smaller ball of fire which will travel towards the enemy up to mid range.
This next technique requires a lighter. And, in case you don't have one...
Mystogan reaches into a pouch and pulls out a cheap, plastic lighter and tosses it towards his student.
Light the flame on that lighter and toss it in front of you. As you light the flame, channel your chakra into it. Then, you can activate the chakra in the lighter to cause an explosion and create a large wall of flame before you. This wall can be used to obscure vision, create smoke for shinobi who utilize that, or be sent one way or the other with a wind technique, augmenting its power. So give it a shot.

Sounds good. Rin said as he caught the lighter and flicked it open. He channeled his chakra into the flame and then tossed it onto the ground.

Now! Rin thought as he ignited the flames from the lighter to form a big wall of fire.

Woooooah! Cool! Rin said as he coughed a little from the smoke. He focused more on keeping the shape of the wall of fire in order to keep the smoke under control.

If I were to use this in battle, and I had C rank training in earth release, I could do a cool combination where I create the wall, then use hiding like a mole to get underground without my opponent realizing. If someone used this against me, I would prepare myself for a possible smoke style jutsu coming up, or I would use my water whip jutsu to lash through the wall and hit the opponent. Rin said as he picked up the lighter.

________
Questions:

Can this tech be used to defend attacks?
Is the lighter destroyed after this tech is used?

The wall can be used to defend against basic attacks, such as kunai or shuriken, though actual techniques is a tad iffy... Of the basic elements, I believe that it would only be a viable defense against Fuuton due to the structure of flame, though the initial explosion would be able to change the course of low-ranked Doton projectiles. And yes, the lighter is destroyed.
( Katon: Kimuchi Amura ) - Fire Release: Wall of Flames
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary/Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user first throws out a lighter that has an open flame. The user the turns the flame into a wall of fire used for protection or to burn small objects thrown towards him. This jutsu can be used with Hurricane Fist to create a combo jutsu.
This next technique uses the tiger handseal. Then you can stomp on the ground and release chakra through your foot to manifest fire on the ground in the shape of a circle. This circle can then move across the ground towards your target, where it will "break" open and surround your enemies, before enclosing on them. You may also use this technique by spewing fire from your mouth and forming it into a ring, where it will fly towards your target and simply collide with them.

Okay, lets do this then! Rin said as he put his hands together to form the tiger hand seal. He started charging his superheated chakra, which by this point was becoming much easier and faster to do.

I'll preform the one which goes through the ground first. Rin said as he stomped his right foot against the ground. 7 meters away, a big flame burst out of the ground and completely consumed a rock. Next Rin spewed out a ring of fire which slammed itself into the same rock, creating an explosion of fire.

There we go. Now, if I were to use this in battle, I would take advantage of the fact that it only requires one hand seal, so it is perfect for situations in which every second is crucial, and one doesn't have time to weave several hand seals. To defend agains the ring attack, I would use a water shield. To defend against the fireball from the ground, I could use a pillar of stone to push me into the air so the fire doesn't hit me (that is, if I knew earth style). Rin said.

____________
Questions: Do both of these surround the opponent once it gets near them, or no? As in does it look like what was around the Gedo Statue before it turned into the Juubi, except it closes in on the target? (The thing that Obito put around it)

First thing, this technique, when used on the ground, creates a ring which travels from your foot to the opponent while on the ground; it doesn't appear directly around them. Second, the ring is only so tall, so it doesn't look completely like that, but it's sort of the picture. It's just a ring of flame, probably not even a meter tall, but they do both surround them like that technique - albeit not as tall.
( Katon: Hibashiri ) - Fire Release: Running Fire
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal by utilizing their fire chakra, the user will create a stream of fire that can be manipulated into several forms (rings of fire that runs on the ground or a circle of fire flying through the air) before striking the target. It can also be used in combination with Wind Release: Divine Wind to create a tornado of flames, or with Wind Release: Godly Wind from the Mountains to release a massive inferno. The stream of fire can be created by stomping the ground (running across the ground in this case) or by spewing the flames (which will form an airborne ring of flames that will travel towards the enemy).
For this next technique, you'll need to throw out a weapon with ninja wire attached to it. Then, when the weapon has hit something, use the Snake, Dragon, Rabbit, and Tiger handseals as you inhale and mold your katon chakra. Then, breathe flame down the cord to ignite whatever your weapon has hit. This technique can be used along any long and straight object to burn whatever is along or at the end of it.

Lets do this! Rin said as he whipped out 4 kunai with ninja wire strung through them. He then threw the kunai at the mud, about 30 feet away.
Snake, Dragon, Rabbit, Tiger... Inhale... Exhale!!! Rin thought as he made the hand seals.

A great fiery explosion occured, and then 4 streams of fire shot down the ninja wire which were held in between my teeth, traveling all the way down to the kunai.

If I were to use this in battle, I would throw a bunch of kunai around the opponent, then a few at the opponent, so that it would be much harder to dodge. If someone were to use this against me, I would use a water shield, as this can block ninja tools and the elemental part of this attack. Rin said as he tried throwing some shuriken attached to a wire, and then a demon shuriken.

Alright... Good.
( Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user will perform four handseals Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger , and breathe fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. A line of enemies can be used as the conductor as well. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon.
The next technique you'll learn uses the Tiger handseal. It's a basic technique that allows you to exhale flames... There are a great number of techniques more effective than this one, but this is the only technique which you can combine with a specific doton jutsu to ignite the mud shot and create a pseudo-lava technique. That's essentially all it's used for, but if you truly feel like spitting fire than this technique will work fine. So why don't you practice; it allows you to spew an unfocused stream of fire up to mid-range.

Alright. Here goes! Rin said as he did the tiger hand seal. He spewed an unfocused stream of fire out at the field, singeing some of the grass.

Yeah, thats a pretty basic technique, as you mentioned. So, if I were to use this in battle, I would combine it with that doton technique you were talking about earlier to make this more effective. To defend against this, I could simply cancel it out with a Gyokakuu no jutsu, or a water shield. I could also use some sort of waves of water to stop the fire. Rin said to you.

Like I said, it's basic... Not much to be said about it.
( Katon: Karyūdan ) - Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user exhales a flame breath from their mouth after making the tiger hand seal. This technique can be used in conjunction with Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet to ignite the projectiles fired by the latter technique, making it more devastating.
The next jutsu uses six handseals: Rat, Tiger, Dog, Ox, Rabbit, and Tiger. After that, build up your katon chakra in your lungs like normal and release the flames in a large breath. As you release the flames, cause them all to separate into multiple small fireballs. Each of these small fireballs can be controlled as you wish, granting great versatility to the technique, while bearing in mind that each individual fireball is relatively weak on its own. You can also throw shuriken within each of the fireballs, and manipulating the flame will move the shuriken with the fire to keep it concealed. Because of its low rank and divided strength on top of that, as well as the fact that you can manipulate the fireballs however you wish, it's primarily a distraction technique.
Now, perform, analyze, and give me some advantages and disadvantages of the technique, like you normally would.

Rin listens as Susano'o (assuming your not using Kabuto) explain the details of the next technique.

Alright, my turn! Rin said as he did the hand seals: rat, tiger, dog, ox, rabbit, and then tiger. Rin built up several "chunks" of katon chakra in his lungs, then moved the chakra to his mouth. He spewed out about 7 fireballs all at the same time as well as throwing 2 shuriken into 2 of the fireballs, and as Susano'o said, Rin was able to control the trajectory and movements (or just their initial path if I cant control movements after the launch) of each of them, including the ones with shuriken in them.

Awesome! That technique's pretty cool! In battle, I would use this technique to distract the opponent while somewhat putting them in danger because I can control the fireballs path a little bit, while I would prepare for something stronger which might take longer to preform. I can see this technique being very useful if say a group of shadow clones were running at me, as if they were somewhat close together I would be able to have a fireball hit each of them. To defend against this technique, I could use hiding like a mole jutsu, a strong enough earth wall, a pillar to make me avoid the fireballs, a wide range water attack, and many more things. Rin said happily.

____
Question: when you said "control" did you mean the initial path, like where its launched and then its on its own, or did you mean that it sort of is like a heat seeking missile. I dont think its the latter becuase if this is Phoenix Flower Jutsu (I think it is), it was never showed like that.

I used past bios to teach often; I'm using Mystogan.

For the controlling aspect of the technique, I am fairly certain that you can curve their path's mid-flight, though I'm not sure if you can completely cause the fireballs to turn around; only follow someone who has moved to the side.
( Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user first performs six hand seals Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger and they create a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.
Alright, for this next technique, I want you to exhale a flame from your mouth and manipulate it to advance towards a target; any target. As your flame gets close to them, cause it to split apart and surround your target, consuming it from all sides.

Oh alright, sorry. I forgot you were rping as him.
____________________

Rin listens to Mystogen explain how to preform the next technique, and how it would look as well. Saito focused his katon chakra into his lungs, then quickly brought it to his mouth and spewed a fireball at a large boulder. As the fireball neared the boulder, Rin split the katon chakra in the fireball up into several chunks, making several fireballs which landed all around the boulder, making a ring of fire around it.

Hmm, this is an interesting technique. Trapping the opponent with flames, huh. Anyway, in battle I can see this technique being great for making the opponent stop in their tracks if they are moving around a lot, as it makes a ring of fire around the opponent. I could use a stone spike to pierce the legs of the opponent while they were trapped by the ring too. Then again though, it seems to me that getting out of this technique is easy enough. If someone were to use this on me and successfully trapped me in the ring, I would just use a rock pillar or some sort of water jutsu to put out the fire/ propel myself out of it. Rin said to Mystogen.

Just as a note... This technique is one stream that splits into two (like two heads of a hydra) just before surrounding the target.
( Katon: Honoo no Saigai Hi Kagayaku no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Flame of Disaster Fire Shine Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user releases a flame of fire chakra that converges on the opponent wrapping around them and burning them.
The next technique doesn't have handseals. First, you'll need to jump into the air to get an areal advantage. Then, simply spew down a very large volley of small fireballs which fall down like rain. Simple, wide-spread, but each individual fireball is weak on its own.

Sorry for taking a while to reply
_________________________

Rin listened to Mystogen explain the next technique to him, then watched as he showed him how to preform it flawlessly.

Sounds like a cool technique! Rin said as he jumped into the air, creating multiple water clones on the ground at the same time.

Here I go! Rin said as he spewed out tens of fireballs towards the ground, aimed in the area his clones were. Rin landed and cracked a big smile.

I like this technique! Anyways, in battle I would, uhhhh, lets see... I would use it if the opponent created many clones because this technique could take them all out theoretically. To defend against this I could create a water wall, hide in the ground, or use a stonger fire jutsu for example! Rin said.

Did someone say "while to reply"?

Just remember that the more fireballs you create, the less power each, individual fireball possesses.
( Katon: Rakka Sanran Kasai ) - Fire Release: Falling Fire Scatter
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user whilst in mid air will release from their mouth a series of small fire shots that rain down upon the target.
This next technique is the final jutsu of the C-ranks. First, collect a lot of katon chakra in your lungs and compress it. Move the chakra, with your air, into your mouth, and release the highly-compressed chakra out as a very small fireball. This fireball is bright and moves quickly. Because of it's size, all of its power is concentrated in a very small area, meaning that instead of consuming the opponent in a great amount of heat, it deals severe heat-based damage at a single point.

Saito listened as Mystogen explained the final technique of the C ranks to him.

Alright, let me give it a try! Saito said as he started to focus on his katon chakra.

Focus it in the lungs, bring it to the mouth, compress it, then...

Fire!! Saito said as he released a small fireball at a boulder, melting away a section of it because of the heat.

Woaaaah! The rock melted! Saito said as he stretched his arm.

So! In battle I would use this technique to attempt and burn the opponent badly. To defend against this technique, I could use a water technique like Water Gun Jutsu which would go through it and go towards the opponent. Satio said.

( Katon: Kitsunebi ) - Fire Release: Fire Whisp
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user creates a small ball of bright fire from their mouth that shoots at the opponent burning on impact.
Alright, the next technique uses the following seven handseals: Ram, Horse, Snake, Dragon, Rat, Ox, and Tiger. Then, exhale powerful flames along the ground, hot enough that the ground actually starts to melt without the fire being compressed like the last technique. This is the difference one rank can make. As the thin stream of flames travels towards your opponent, it can begin to rise higher and higher, consuming your target as it reaches them and reducing them to ash.
The second technique of the B-ranks I want you to do is quite different from what you've been doing so far. I want you to collect fire chakra into both of your palms, concentrating it to a point where your chakra causes the air itself to combust. Then, collect a pressure of chakra behind these fireballs and release it to send them flying. You want your chakra to be somewhat unstable, as when the flames hit something, they should explode outwards with concussive, explosive force. Now, for each use you can fire as many fireballs as you want, but the damage each one does is dependent upon how many you plan to fire.
