Shinta arrives at the training field, throwing a small ball of fire a short distance from his students resting place. So yeah, sleeping isn't going to help you learn katon... that's what you're after, correct?
Waiting for his student to stand up, Shinta continues to speak.
Tell me about Katon, from your own words. Why do you want to learn it and how to you think you can incorporate it into your skill set?

Kladara got surprised by the small fire , but nevertheless managed to dodge it by standing up and jumping on a near tree . After this , he putted his usual little smirk on his face , which means no harm at all . "Ya , you got it wrong . I was actually meditating , but your lateness made me fell asleep ." He jumped off the tree and drew out his sword ... "Oh wait , the sword isn't needed for Katon" aand he put it back . After hearing Shinta's words , or rather questions , Kladara once again got his calm look and began to speak

"Katon is an element of the basic five . It can be performed by heating your own chakra into your lungs , and releasing the heated chakra in the form of a fire . Usually fire techs can be used to short or mid range , but if your fire tech has strong enough chakra , it can be performed for long range too . Also , by molding your chakra in different forms into your lungs or stomach , the fire technique will be different , in both form and power . You can enhance an weapon by adding Katon chakra . Fire Release is common on Konohagakure , mostly the Uchiha clan . The most well known users of it are Obito Uchiha , Itachi Uchiha , Sasuke Uchiha and Madara Uchiha . The highest level of fire is called Amaterasu , which can be performed by having a Mangekyou Sharingan . Amaterasu's flames are black , and never cease burning . Katon is strong against wind , because wind adds more power to Katon , but is weak to Suiton , since it cools it . It can also be used for conjuction with Raiton . Katon chakra is a component of the following KG: Boil Release, Lava Release and Scorch Release. Blaze Release is the advanced level of it , which can also control Amaterasu flames "

"Why do I want to learn it ? Well I think it's obvious , since I am from the Uchiha clan , and I must master it , in order to honor my Uchiha skills . Currently I'm being trained on Raiton , and since I can use Katon and Raiton , I can perform powerful attacks ."

After all these , Kladara saw his sensei with a serious and confident look , like he was ready to give his life to learn and master Katon !

You will actually need your sword a little later on... when you learns a higher ranked jutsu. Fire jutsu fall into one of three basic categories: Fire Streams, fire balls and Infusion with tools/weapons. There are a few outliers but we will get to them later on.
What do you think will happen in a combination of an equal ranked fire and an equal ranked earth jutsu? What about the collision between a B-rank fire ball and a c-ranked water ball?

Right , I can't wait to use sword with Katon . And yeah , thanks for telling that !

If I'd be hasty , I'd say that Doton wall wins , since Earth > Water , and Water > Fire , but A>B>C logic doesn't work . I think that both jutsus will tank each other , meaning the fire will cease burning , and the Doton wall would be destroyed .

As for you 2nd Question , all matters is how well do you know to control the fire chakra . If you don't mold your chakra good , even a D-rank suiton can beat it , I think . But if both users are experienced and know how to use them , I'd think the suiton will cool the fire's flames a little bit ...

So you're missing key points in my questions... Combination, implying you use a fire jutsu and your team mate uses an earth jutsu... in combination... to create a more powerful attack.

Wind is strong against Lightning which is strong against Earth which is strong against Water which is strong against Fire which is strong against wind.

Fire and Earth are considered Neutral elements, meaning the ranks system does indeed make sense, which is why it is there.

What happens when you super heat earth?

As for the second part... You are wrong on enough levels... d-rank water can't beat b-rank fire if they collide... I asked specifically is a Fire ball of B-rank collided with c-rank water... which means a neutral collision... Think what happens when you dowse a flame with water you see what rise up afterwards?

Ah I missed that , sorry .

If you combine both earth and fire , it becomes a mud attack I think ? Heatness melts the earth . You mold the doton chakra and transform it into mud , and enhance it with Fire balls .

Yeah , I get it now .

My only advanced training is Doton . Middle of c ranks .

Mud... is earth and water... though Mud is really just formed from manipulation of your earth chakra as several earth jutsu involve mud or swamps of some sort.

Lava... is super heated earth. ie Fire and Earth. If you add fire to earth it dries out and eventually becomes lava with enough heat.

So hopefully you have reached the jutsu that the Third Hokage used in the chuunin exams against Oro, where the mud dragon spat mud balls and he set them alight using a fire ball. That is an example of an earth/fire combo that creates pseudo lava.

Anyway...

With this jutsu, you will essentially spew out a small, roughly shaped fire ball:

Now , for the first one .

"Kladara firstly gathered chakra and channelled it into his lungs . By heating it a little , he then channelled it to his mouth , and by using shape and elemental manipulation , he released the gathered chakra in the form of a small fireball that is shooted to the opponent ."

The second one .

"After doing the first jutsu , Kladara again did the same process as he did with the first one . The only difference is that he used/heated more chakra to create several fire balls ."

For using them in battle , I pretty much think the best combo is to perform the stone spike jutsu and make the opponent lose his balance . Doing that you immediatly perform the process of doing these jutsus and fire fireballs to the unbalanced opponent , having a decent chance of hitting him .

Don't forget, simple jutsu such as these don't need to be combo's with other elemental jutsu, they are quite easily utilised in close range combat; whether it be actual freeform or using taijutsu/kenjutsu attacks.

Now, that should covere the fireball section of your basic, basic training. For the remaining, I leave it up to my trial senpai who will introduce herself when she has time and I send the PM to her... It's Akasha by the way and she can only have one student... thought I'd include that before you or anyone else gets ideas O__O'

Alright so for the next technique you'll need to use small ninja tools which are shurikens. I'll need you to take few shurikens from your pouch and throw them at your intended target. Whilst doing so I want you to heat up chakra within your lungs before exhaling it as to enflame the shurikens. By doing so you will be able to make shurikens burn with fire as they are going towards your target.

The next technique @_@ The hand seals... Damn... So much hand seals for such a basic technique so to speak.

What I need you to do tho is to firstly gather katon (heated) chakra within your lungs whilst performing the required sequence of hand seals. Snake which is followed by Ram, then Monkey which is followed by Tiger. As you perform the hand seals you'll make an inhale before making an exhale as to release the chakra. As you are releasing the chakra you'll use nature manipulation as to create a flammable gas.

You can take a match and just turn the flammable gas without even using a jutsu for that.
No you don't need to use wind jutsu. Wind jutsu will disperse the gas and of course that is one way of countering. But you can even use water? Water will just make gas heavier and thus make it unusable.

What I wrote you to do is one way of using this technique. You can also use it as to release a fire ball from your month or by focusing your chakra onto your lets say fists release it from there by movement.

Anyhow there is quite a difference between projectiles and streams.

Projectiles

Projectiles are techniques that are released from your body,from your mouth,your feet,your fists and so on. Projectiles are blasted off/launched from your body towards the intended target. When it comes to projectiles you gather and release a defined amount of chakra. What is characteristic when it comes to projectiles is that once they leave your body they are no longer tied to your chakra which means that once you release them you can send another technique to follow them (Let's say you send a fire ball towards your opponent and as soon as you release that fire ball from your mouth you send a wind tornado as to make a fire tornado which makes more damage as well as effects bigger area). But not being tied to your own charka comes with an disadvantage. Direction in which they are moving can not be changed unless the technique you use says otherwise. That disadvantage with which they come makes it easier in a way for opponent to counter them. There is one more characteristic attribute to projectiles and that is sending few of them at the intended target. But the bigger the number of projectiles there is the smaller their power as well as size are. But sending more projectiles can make countering of a technique harder. You can send one towards your target's legs and one towards his head. He will have to use a technique that effects a bigger area as to defend from yours.

1 B ranked projectiles is equal to 2 C ranks which is equal to 4 D ranked.​

Streams

So streams are completely different from projectiles. Unlike projectiles they are constantly released from ones body which means a person has to constantly fuel his stream with chakra as to keep it active. Because streams are constantly tied to ones chakra they make it unable for one to perform another technique whilst he or she is streaming it unless of course they have a clone or an ally or anything that can perform a technique. But because they are tided to ones chakra they are let's say more controllable. Person can decide when he or she is gonna stop streaming his technique and in that way stop it. Person can also change direction in which he is releasing the stream. Unlike projectiles when it comes to creation of streams there is less shape manipulation involved and thus they usually cover larger areas.​
