Hmmm. I only know of one or two occasions when Fire and Earth have been used in unison. Ironically the last jutsu Katon: Fire Run in the first Shippuden Movie and used by Konoha nin against Pain's Dog Summon and used it to make an oven of sorts.
And only one instance where Fire was used to conceal a Lightning Tech, Sasuke using Chidori against Itachi after their Fireball Showdown. Not to say it isn't a good idea.
Still I will keep them in mind, thanks for the tip.
Describe how to do it: The user starts by building up fire chakra in their body and performs the required hand seals, Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger, and releases a blaze of flame from their entire body. This flame is then concentrated down any kind of "conductor", essentially anything that can carry the chakra and flame, be it wire, clones or anything the user can use to transmit the chakra directly to the enemy.
How many hand seals does it have: 4,Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger.
Advantages: If the anime is to be believed then it produces a large flame from the users body, this can be used for short range defense from enemy Taijutsu.
The user doesn't need to be close to use it, but since the enemy would be tied up if the user uses metal cord for example, distance wouldn't matter.
Disadvantages: It requires some preparation and the user to have a direct link in contact with the enemy to act as a medium, so the technique has to be used wisely.
If the user can use this technique as displayed in the anime, then if they are hit with an enemy Wind Release jutsu, they could use the flames to their advantage, making the jutsu backfire.
Combos and possible uses: If the user uses metal wire, they can paralyze the enemy first, making the jutsu have a higher success rate.
If the user makes clones at Short range, he can use them as the medium, while simultaneously restraining the enemy.
How to defend against it: You could douse the medium, potentially making the fire aspect of the jutsu void.
If you can remove the medium, eg, metal cord: cutting with wind technique or a sword etc you can remove the enemies possibility of pulling the jutsu off.

Questions:
Can the jutsu be used like in the anime and ova, as a massive aura of flame produced from the users entire body (Sasuke vs Orochimaru at Chunnin Exams) and a controlled flame with dragon heads? (Waterfall Village OVA) The last one seems less likely... But still, I feel I should ask.
Would dousing the medium with water remove the ability to ignite the it?
Would being hit with Wind technique while this jutsu is active cause damage or the jutsu to backfire?
