While you are doing that i throw several shurikens at you with strings attached to them then i make the shurikens hit your clothes and know you then i do:

As i doing this you wouldnt be able to see me because of the mist and even if it does work we are both screwed because as soon as you send a flame down the wire it will ignite the gas hurting you

Well since he sprayed the gas into the are around you on his first move, by the time you started using your fire jutsu you would have been surrounded by the gas and thus ignited it burning yourself.
