Also, what would happen if you use this against projectiles thrown at you?

If I push a enemy back with a jutsu, they get thrown of guard (losing balance).

It can blow them away.

So basically, this jutsu can be used to blow away attacks like thrown kunais at me or shurikens.

What can this be used for?

I begin gathering my doton chakra. Wasting no time, I focus it while it circulate through my body. I then exert my doton chakra and channel it, inserting it into the rock. I then mold the chakra into the rock making it softer and easier to manipulate. I then use shape manipulation and my doton chakra to make it into a clone of myself.

I can use this to trick the opponent like regular clones
Can be used to defend a oncoming attack
Can also be used to assist you offensively, as in attacking your opponent because having numbers is sometimes a great advantage in battle.

Excellent. I'll give you my eight guidelines then...
First: Clones can perform various attacks all at the same time. Indeed, imagine if you had three clones in front of you all release different jutsus at you at the exact moment. It's like breaking time frame.
Second: It is hard to tell the difference between the real you and clones. Only the Sharingan is able to tell such differences, or normally, people just godmode this in battle.
Third: Being able to combo greatly with split-second jutsus - imagine seeing several attacks coming at you at all directions.
Fourth: Distraction in general - for example, a clone used Thunder Up, and caused an explosion, the enemy will be drawn to the noise and you could then take advantage of this.
Fifth: Release of Genjutsu.
Sixth: Sacrifice for information.
Seventh: Increase of field of vision. Blind spots.
Eight: Human Shield.

Also, much like how water clones turn back to water...what do you think would happen if earth clones were struck and how would you take advantage of this?

I think they would turn back to mud. I think I can use it to create a mud river or use the mud for mud related attacks.

Oh also the mud can be used as like a trap.. if the enemy uses tai and hits u, they can get stuck in it.

The hardness, this gives the clone the ability to be to take more attacks than a normal clone.

Yes, and also, I think punching it would also be quite...painful, to say the least.

Description: The user creates their clone out of stone. Unlike other types of clones the rock clones don’t disappear after being defeated but rather crumble like rubble. These clones can also be used to create a clone of other people than themselves but do not take on the abilities of the copied person.

Proceed to create a shelter of Earth around you, sort of like a dome that completely surrounds you.
