3.The Chidori can used only a limited no of times due to excess chakra consumption and has a time limit associated with it.The Rasengan can be use any no of times and becomes self sustaining i.e has no time limit associated with it.Also Chidori requires forming of Handseals while the Rasengan does not.
4.It most be noted that the Rasengan is an incomplete technique whereas the Chidori is a complete one.
5.Nobody without the Sharingan can use the Chidori effectively since it has a major drawback associated with it.The speed at which the attack must be done, combined with the fact that the user must run in a straight line, causes a tunnel vision-like effect for the user. This allows the enemy to easily counter the attack, making it a potentially lethal move for the user.
Rasengan > Chidori, yes. But none of this true.
3- is baseless & a perversion of character - if it was naruto, he would be spamming chidori all day. Sasuke clearly got more stamina when he matured & kakashi was just generalizing himself in terms of chakra reserves, not literally.
4- is just semantics & wordplay...look at feats - its not even a retcon.
It doesn't prove anything either, even if it was true...
5- is actually an indirect retcon, as well as a misinterpretation of Minatos warnings, which were more like guidance ''concerns'' rather than combat ''absolutes''.
Chidori can forego seals & sprinting w/ higher skill level. and sharingan has no effect an ability performing the jutsu, successful or not.
kakashi didn't have sharingan when he created it.
EDIT: somebody already posted something like this^
_but the reason rasengan is superior is because shape manipulation is the basis of elemental ninjutsu & nature manipulation is secondary. this sounds like contradiction but feats demonstrate this.
the jyuken: twin lion fist_ is a perfect example...
its not because of any statements or panels of damage, although they can show evidence.
