“There is no way out of this!” yelled Marinta to herself. No matter how much she thought there would be no way out of the predicament. Footsteps were heard. They seemed pretty far off. Marinta opened her purse trying to find anything to help her get out of here. What she found in her bottomless bag made her hear holy music and a light shine on her, pepper spray. If her friends were out there, those two would break her out of this dump or if she tried herself. Guns versus pepper spray….. She was better off waiting for a rescue team. Marinta looked around her as the footsteps neared. Immediately stuffing the tiny, but deadly bottle in her bag. The door opened with a deafening creak.
“Follow me.” Reno commanded. Marinta gave him a look that made Rude take two steps back. She grabbed her bag and marched out in pride, that made Reno shake his head. Rude lead the way.
As they walked the halls, Marinta can fill the eyes of the soldiers drilling holes into her back. Slowly her confidence began to slip, but she held her front. In turn to the soldiers stares, she gave them a dirty look causing them to look away almost immediately.
“The people here are so damn friendly,” she mumbled under her breathe sarcastically. The elevator door came up with a ding. The three walked into the elevator in complete silence. As the doors closed Marinta felt that those were the doors of hell closing her in the fires.
Reno glanced at her. Marinta seemed to be fidgety and worried. By the look of things she finally figured out the predicament she was in was deadly. He pinched the bridge of his nose. Something bad was going to happen. It has been a day since she got here and as every second passed a sense of foreboding clung to her. Then the elevator reached its floor. The door opened to reveal an extremely pissed off Scarlet. Wonderful.
“Seems like you brought the filthy girl. I‘m Scarlet,” commented Scarlet. Marinta raised her eyebrow and looked at Reno. He looked like he was prepared to jump out a window. She smirked as she replied to Scarlet’s comment,
“At least I’m not a **** who bats her eyelashes at every rich man. I’m guessing that he wanted to talk to me and he sent your sl**** ass to get me so he can have peace and quite.” Scarlet’s face turned the color of her name. Reno looked at Marinta in surprise. If he could he would give her a round of applause. Before Scarlet could reply Rude walked out of the elevator with Marinta at his heels. She was smiling the smile of sweet victory. Reno followed behind. Once they reached the door it swung open revealing a long table used for meetings. There were seven people there already. The guy known as Hojo and a fat-ass scientist next to him. Across was a clean cut sort of fellow, a military fat-ass, and Scarlet (who walked in when they did). At the head of the table, she assumed, was the president and standing next to him was Tseng. The president spoke first,
“So you must be Marinta. Please have a seat,” He gestured to the chair in front her. Marinta pulled the chair out and plopped down. All eyes in the room were on here as the president continued to speak.
“It seems you came from a different ‘world’ as you put it. Though it may sound unreliable Professor Hojo backed our statement concerning the issue. The main thing I’m curious about is who are you exactly.” Scarlet began to smile as the fat military guy spoke.
“She is probably just another thief trying to steel research. I say just kill her.” His statement earned a glare from Tseng and the clean cut guy.
“I highly doubt that. Security was very tight and no one could slip through, and even if she did she wouldn’t have used the mansions entrance or wear flashy clothes,” Hojo said. The president shook his head.
“ Both of you be quite. I want to hear what she has to say.” Marinta thought for a moment before replying.
“I’m just a normal person who got involved in something completely strange. Personally, I have no idea what is going on here at all. The only things I do know is what I managed to piece together since I got her. I really don’t know what else to tell you about your question.” The president said something that caught Marinta off guard,
“Call me Rufus. I really don’t think you like formalities since you continually use the word ’you’ to address me.” Her eyes wavered for a second. Not knowing how to answer to what he said. Finally she spoke,
“..Rufus,” she said with hesitation, “how long must I stay here. I don’t want to be stuck in a cell.” Rufus gave her a semi-glare. Hojo laughed.
“Take her to the experimentation floor. I suggest you don’t try to run away unless you want to be riddled with holes.” Reno nodded at the president’s orders.
“What the hell are you saying?! Are all you people nuts?!” was the only thing Marinta could say. Next thing she knew she was being dragged away to the elevator. The whole time she just was a lifeless doll whose eyes reflected an evilness to them that made you feel the devil himself looked at you. When they reached the research area she looked around. At this point she gave up and decided to comply though it was not in her nature. Marinta wanted to kick, scream, to lash out, and get out of here. Looking around she noticed a tube sort of thing with someone inside. Before she could get a better look at the headless person or thing she was thrown in a larger tube that was locked right after she was thrown in. Immediately Rude and Reno left without so much as a glance back.
Hojo walked to some sort of control panel. He grabbed a lever and pulled it. A shot of some sort of electricity came down from the top of the prison. Marinta screamed like a banshee in pain. The last time she felt this pain was when Carol’s brother tried to kill her along with Carol and Rachel. At the least she fought back and won. In this place she could not fight back. Only howl in pain.
Meanwhile….“Does everyone understand the plan?” asked Cid to the group. Everyone nodded. Sephiroth leaned against a wall waiting for everyone else to be ready. Cloud walked up to him.
“As I’ve said before. I still don’t trust you yet,” he growled. Sephiroth only gave him a blank expression in return. Zack was arguing with Aerith on not letting her go.
“I’m going and you can’t say anything about it,” stated Aerith. Zack gave her the ‘I completely surrender’ look. No use in arguing with her. Rachel and Carol began fidgeting. Marlene saw this and walked up to them.
“It’s fine. They’re going to save her.” Rachel exchanged a grimace with Carol. They faked a smile.
“We know we’re just a bit nervous is all.” replied Carol. Marlene returned smiled and skipped up the stairs. They couldn’t tell her what Marinta was capable of.
“Hey wait you guys cheated!” Marinta accused. The three were playing monopoly in Carol’s bedroom. They were having an amazing sleep over and Carol‘s parents weren‘t home, a bonus. Rachel began to laugh.
“Let’s stop playing monopoly and let’s talk about guys. We are all healthy teenagers here, no,” responded Rachel in a fake French accent. Carol and Marinta laughed. Marinta began to frown when Rachel brought up a very touchy topic she was trying to avoid.
“Are you going to go out with Carol’s older brother, Marcus?” Marinta shook her head. Carol agreed. It would be way to awkward if your best friend went out with your brother. Plus her brother was very clingy when it came to Marinta, very. What the three didn’t know was that Marcus was sitting out there with a knife in hand. Slowly the door opened. Soon screams of terror were heard……
Carol shook here head. What is the past should remain that way. The past. She looked toward the group smiling and laughing. All psyched to go on a rescue mission. Rachel stood up and nudged Carol.
“Let’s go join them,” she said. The two walked over to the excited group.
“Carol. Rachel. Go with Cloud and Zack to the research floor to find your friend. She’s more than likely there,” Cid explained. Cid turned to the rest of them.
“The rest of us are supposed to make one hell of a racket as there rescuing Marinta.” They all nodded. Carol began to tear up. Angeal turned to look at her.
“Are you alright?”
“Hm. Oh. Yeah. I’m fine it’s just that all you people are a hell of a lot better than those I met at home. That’s all.” Angeal sensed something was wrong though he couldn’t put his finger on it. He would ask her later after this whole fiasco is over and done with.
AVALANCHE stood at the entrance to Shinra Corporation.
“Looks like I have to beat the crap out of my former employers,” grinned Zack. Cloud, Zack, Rachel, and Carol all were at the back entrance to the building.

BOOM! An explosion happened which was their cue to run inside. Zack and Cloud ran ahead of the two. The small rescue team ran toward the elevator. A though came across both Rachel’s and Carol’s minds.
“Marinta. We’re coming to save you.”
Another chapter done with. Probably won't update for awhile due to finals.
