Sasuke was already an s class ninja by the beginning of part 2. Pointless battle. Neji would have been destroyed.

Not really. Sasuke got put through the ringer by Bee, Itachi and Deidara. I'd say beginning part 2 Sasuke is high jonin level but still not Kage level. Even when Sasuke fought the 5 kage he only lasted as long as he did because he spammed amaterasu and susanno. Take them away and he'd been fodderized.

Neji a genius trained by Guy and Sasuke a genius trained by Orochimaru. It would be a grand fight.
