Since i was floating on earth, a little high, and i have earth beneath my feet, the explosion impact makes me go high on the air, but it doesnt hit me completly. And yeah, i send the whips at you, so your water rising slicer isnt enough to destroy the whips, that where desintegrated into multiple pieces of earth, since your water slicer goes on a straight line. Also, i can control the earth with that desintegration jutsu so i can just make it avoid the explosion since the earth goes with an huge speed and since you can't see nothing because of the smoke, you dont have enough time. Even if you can see, by the time you're using rising slicer the earth shards are too close to you already.
As im send on the air flying due to the explosion i use my

whatever, the whips where turned into multiple earth shards and were already going towards you. And i can be damaged but i have a big piece of earth under me. And about the pic, that isnt the size of the explosion. The explosion is much smaller, that is just the water (on this case) the mud that goes high on the air due to the explosion. That mud wouldnt cause me damage, only the explosion would and since i was floating on my earth (and not floating exactly at 2 metres from the ground) i would just be projected to the air, i wouldnt be hit directly by the explosion. The only thing that would hit the earth that is beneath me, was the explosion shockwaves, that arrive faster, and therefore, before than the explosion itself, so i would be projected to the air before the explosion would reach me. I wouldnt be directly damaged. And once the explosion comes, i would have time to do the bone wings and fly.
