to get immediately near your position ( I'm some ten times faster than you underground ) before you can move a foot or so from your place. You cannot sense me, since I am literally part of the ground and plants, and give out no excess heat.

So the last thing you remember, is suddenly having your head ripped off your body ( you don't know that I'm attacking ) and swallowed.
