As the dragon hits the swamp, with impact spilling mud all over the place, Deidara feels that the ground is soft as and he sees the mud flying aswell, he immediately channels his chakra into the ground and makes a dragon of earth burst from the ground beneath him, lifting him into the air and out of the swamp. Once at a respectable height he removes himself from the dragons head and leaves what is left of the dragon to continue toward the original Jiraiya from above. (the swamp stops forming, as my earth chakra cancels out yours.)

Imagine as if Bunta was expelling the fire since he is doing the oil technique.

As the fire and oil/fire combo collide, C1's and Bunta's combo is done for and Deidara throws his smoke bomb to the ground. Jiraya being experienced as he is knows that Deidara will try something and is using the smoke as deception. That is what anyone with common sense would think. Not hesitating for a second, Jiraya extends lightning particles into the smoke and rides them at extreme speeds as he has a kunai prepared in his hand. He remembers Deidara's exact location and rides to exactly that spot, arriving there within about 2 seconds. With his arm extended he plunges the kunai into Deidara's back as he would be looking towards Bunta and C1. This happens while the clay clone is being formed.

Jiraya then kicks Deidaras back as he generates a wall of water before them. As Deidara collides with the wall of water it solidifies into ice, freezing Deidara inside the ice leaving him there, frozen. The kunai and water wall would prevent the clone from happening.
