Chapter 2; The Return
Naruto’s Side:
The next morning I awoke to sunlight hitting face. I yawn, sit up in the bed, and rub my eyes. From the night stand next to the bed, I grab my head band, grasp it tightly and pull it into my chest. Just wait a little longer everyone, I’m coming home soon.
After changing my clothes, washing face, and brushing my teeth, I tie my head band around head and exit the room. I follow the hallway to stairs and descend down them. Captain Yamato stops me at the bottom.
“Where are you going?”
“What do mean ‘Where are you going’?” I ask him back in a harsh tone. “I’ve learned to control the nine-tails power! We need to get back home and help!”
Yamato grabs on to my arm. “Sorry but you have to stay here. You and KillerBee both must stay here on this island until the war is over.”
“You think I’m just going to sit back and do nothing!” I pull my arm from his grip and walk outside.
“Naruto!” He calls after me.
I stop and turn my head to him. “I have to go back NO matter what! KillerBee also has to come! It’s part of the prophecy!”
Yamato’s eye brows furrow in confusion. “Prophecy? What prophecy?”
I opened my mouth to speak, but stopped when I hear something move through the air. I looked up just in time to catch a scroll that would have hit me in the head. “What the…?”
Footsteps sound behind my back. An odd, but familiar voice starts to speak. “The prophecy where KillerBee and Naruto fight together on the front lines. They are the only ones you can match the enemies’ strength. Well… other than myself, but that’s another story.”
I close my eyes slightly and a smirk makes its way to face. I grip the scroll tighter in my hands. “So this is where the real you went, huh?” I turn my body around open my eyes to see the sixteen year old girl. “I hope you had a nice swim, Kuro.”
She chuckles, “So you figured it out, with just my voice as your justification.”
“Only you would brag like that , when trying to compliment me.” I laugh and goofy smile creeps up on my face.
“So this is the real Kuro? It’s not some kind of clone again.” Yamato inquirers.
“Yup, this time it really is the one and only Kuro.” She smiles. “You wouldn’t believe the sea traffic…Sigh.”
“Ha-ha. How far did you go chasing that thing?” I ask.
“I’m not sure. Maybe 500 miles…? I don’t know really.”
“So tiring…” I comment.
“Yeah… I could go for some ramen right about now.” She laughs once more. “So gather the others, were going home.” She smiles, but this time I could tell that she is happy to be returning home.
“Were under order of the 5 Kages. We can’t just leave!” Yamato yells.
“I say we go. Ride that boat to the flow.” KillerBee sings as he walks closer.
Yamato sighs, “If I get yelled at Naruto,” He glares deeply at me and I shake. “I’m going trap you in my wood cage for 3 days!”
On that lovely note, we packed up our things, boarded the ship, and set off homeward bound.
“Hidden Leaf Village, here I COME!!”
“Really Naruto… Really, this is real, not some fancy story where you’re the main character…” Kuro rolls her eyes and I start to laugh.

Sakura’s Side:
It’s been two weeks since Naruto, Captain Yamato, and Guy Sensei left the village. The atmosphere in the village has become so tense since then. I wonder if it really was a good thing to send Naruto away. What if they just attack him where he is now? Worry washes over my body, and I look to the gate of the village. Ever since they left, every time I see the gate, I have the feeling that Naruto will just come running through it. I sigh and continue walking back to the Hokage’s office with many books in my hands.
“HEY!” A voice cries out. “Sakura, is that you?!”
I stop in my tracks, no it can’t be…
I turn around to see him, but at that moment he looked different. His blonde hair and bright blue eyes sparkled in the morning sunlight. His jacket was un-zipped, his white undershirt was visible, and the first Hokage’s necklace bounced up and down against his chest. He looked so much older and stronger. But what stood out the most was the person walking behind him, laughing at his childlessness.
Naruto, he has returned, but he brought…some girl back with him…
