I thought Argentina would win, its going to be the third time Germany face them in the final.
Netherlands wasted the last sub that should've went to Krul, though taking Van Persie off was a good decision imo. I feel Nigel DeJong shouldn't have started in the first place tbh.

I'm backing Germany for this final, they have been the best team by far in this tournament. The way they control the game is amazing and they came to win this tournament after a long time of third places/runner-ups. Both Netherlands and Argentina were shit today tbh, Messi was shut down by Vlaar. Germany have players that have already shut him down before in the past WC as well in Club with the likes of Schweinsteiger and Khedira. So I guess my point is that Germany is a complete Team while Argentina is not. Still, Congrats on both teams to making the final.

Yes Messi is good (imo the best atm) but on this WC he wasn't really all that, Robben was imo better on this particular tournament

I completely agree with you Germany have played beautiful football, while most of Argentina's matches were extremely defensive.

Messi is one of the greatest player already even if he doesn't win the worldcup, he is the only player in europe to score 91 goals in a calendar year even ronaldo who had a fantastic season didn't come close to breaking it. Maradona won the cup single handedly Hand of God? Oh is see your point! Lets see how the final goes, remember argentina wasn't really given much of a chance today and yet they won so lets see how it goes. Also messi has scored 4 goals in 6games and has created the most scoring opportunity out of any other player.

Maradona's hand of goal is always brought up yet people don't mention the fact that four minutes later he scored the goal of the century. Besides, Maradona had tougher opponents when he reached the final twice (1986- Uruguay, England, Belgium, Germany)

And then in 1990 he beat BRAZIL (stacked like hell during these days), a very strong Yugoslavia, and then Italy (had the likes of Roberto Baggio) who were the host nations that were very powerful (much more than the failures of Brazil today). Sure Messi helped out his team, but never to the degree Maradona did. Messi hasn't scored a single goal outside the group stage. He had easy teams like Bosnia, Iran, and Nigeria. It took Arg. 118 minutes to beat Switzerland. Belgium was a team full of new youth and they just couldn't finish their chances. Already discussed the dutch somewhere above too. On an international platform Maradona is better.

Besides, Argentina was gifted an easy road to the final by FIFA, because Argentina's killer is Germany. They lost to Germany in the last 2 WCs and had Germany & Argentina been put in the same side of the tournament then the same would've occurred. Germany has been the best team and they deserve this the most for keeping consistent. I remember Maradona said how Messi was crying after being destroyed 4-0 last WC even after everyone left the lockeroom. Sabella asked Messi how and who he wants to play, goes to show how their is no control by that man either.

Aside from this IMO Toni Kroos has been the best Midfielder of this Tournament by far. I can't quite come to the decision of best GK yet.

Tbh today it's borderline impossible to score like that because Maradona would be fouled immediately, I've actually watched a panel of experts be dumbfounded that no defenders fouled him and criticise d the defenders for not doing it
