T.T You are absolutely right. I see the same names all the time too but they are nice and are actually the ones who like to watch what narutobase has but socialize as well. They are the ones that keep narutobase going. :] I wish the poeple that did register here would come one more but we can't force them.
I don't get to come on as much anymore really because of school but I try to get on as much as I can. *heehee, I sometimes go on during school when I get the chance and luckily my school didn't block the site* ^.^

But this is not exclusive of NarutoBase. It happens in every single forum about anything.
There are people who play and do not participate in forums, for example.
When I became a member, I was not active in the forumbs for 6 months, I made the account to download Naruto. But I was a member of the base, though I did not participate in the forums.
If sites like yahoo and facebook keep your account forever, this is nothing to complain about, really.

Well I think it's time that I finally answer in this thread. Personally I think this thread is pretty useless because it's obvious that not all member are active, no offense but you must be really naive if you think every single one of them stays active forever.
I went to see another forum that had around 80 000 members (it was a forum for all manga's, not only Naruto) and there were in total 10 000 people active. That makes 1/8. We have 32 000 members, so if you would take 1/8 from it that would be 4000 active members and I think we really have around that number of active people.
You can divide all of NB in different groups: the real hardcore members who go to all the secions of NB daily, the ones who only go to the manga section, the ones who only go to the episodes section etc. Then you have the people who come sporadically online. Sometimes there are even members who didn't come online for months who suddenly start visiting again.
There are people that just made an account to see something once and then never came again and a while back we had a lot of spambots.
We are well aware that not all those accounts are active, but did we ever claim that? No, the true meaning of that amount of members that is written is to show us that all those people made an account for something that attracted them to this forum and that's what it means.
What you say is something I noticed a long time ago, but it's pretty normal, it's the same in every forum. As I said this thread is useless, no offense, it's nothing more then describing a normal situation just like you would say that water is blue.

Agreed. NB has changed alot. Many of the senior members have gone. Generally alot of senior members post regularly , but not often. But despite the many changes , NB is stil the best siteyou forget that there are many who dont post that much, like me and I'm on NB everyday

The fact that Narutobase has over 30.000 registered members is very much a perfect statement. Only when it comes to how many of those 30.000 who are a active members in the forum of the site the number seems to be drastically much lower..
When browsing through the forum and checking on pretty much every "New Posts" I can't help to notice the same people repeatingly over and over again. It may be that the same people that I observe are the people who brows the same parts of the forum as I do, and that there are many other active members in other places. However every new post should appear in the ?New Posts? section. Browsing through NB all day at college and all day at home always being logged in I cannot help to always see the same few people's names over and over again.
As my memory has its limits of memorizing names I have come to the conclusion that there are aloooot less people active on the forum than there are registered members. Say 30.000 members, only around 400 people seem like an evident number of active forum-members.
The other 29.000 or more people seem like the type of people who are registered only with interest in the Narutobase mangareader/anime-watcher part outside the forum, or for reasons such as Accessing certain topics and threads in the forum, or double-users for additional reasons.
Leaving this as it may be I would like to hear your thoughts on this. Perhaps you have something to include or to disagree with.

And allow me to say please, that NB has never had a better manga section than now, that Naruto RP is finally revived and that in here we will never cuss someone without him/her being present. Cause here we have decency and please allow me the expression, balls. Those who left NB are the people who did that, attacked without reason and without decency, hidden behind the glass walls of other forums, NB and members of it. Lying to the members who joined them so much that you couldn't believe. If NB's staff wanted to make some things public, trust me many people would be: "O_O"
Those people, are free to come back and free to never come back again, but certainly I will tell you that this forum does not need people without decency.
So if we want to be decent, we have to belong to NB?
Just expose your feeling. Maybe they cussed, behind your backs (Wich is obviously wrong, since you know everything), but at least they expressed their opinions.

Your choice to go to another forum really doesn't affect me and only shows that you made another choice etc. As the matter of fact I think that many forums are good and have interesting things to offer. I am a member of many others forums myself anyways
If though, where you went you cussed people behind their backs, then yeah, for me you have no decency. And note there, I said "if", no accusations or anything. No matter where you went and who you cussed, cussing people behind their backs is not a noble thing to do, at least where i come from it isn't, and it has been like this for the last 8,000 years
Plus, i think you are smart enough to tell the difference between: "expressing my opinion to my friends about someone i don't like" and: "Oh, [name here] is a b*/an arrogant soab, lets humiliate her/him, let's accuse her/him with no facts to have some fun ha ha ha".
Also, i kinda not have a reason to be bothered nor to explode as things are going amazingly well in my life and if i had to explode i would talk to a friend and not publicly about it. Again, not my thing.
