Lemme change my post. Seriously though Feminists stopping Cyber Bullying? Why do they act like women are vulnerable at anything?

Figured I'd leave this video here because it is relevant to the subject at hand.

You understand that no matter how poorly drafted and how weak the suggested solution is the report is against cyber violence like hate speech, bullying, targeted attacks like stalking, harassment etc and not normal speech?

If not-

Let me get back to you after making a call at Charlie Hebdo office.

I remember- that was actually a good example of racism. And I find it funny that BBC chose to pick and air such a documentary at the time when they have the biggest case of systematic sexual crimes un-earthed in their own country. And then got a Lord molesting underage boys in Parliament as a cherry on top.

It's not- It's probably because that the people who sent this report work with women related issues only and didn't make keep it wider because of that.

Even the article says that report was poorly written even though it had some valid points. They didn't seem to think the whole issue through. Time constraint or simply poor drafting as it seems from the articles on it. Dunno. Reactionary articles are not helping in better understanding either.

.. In his case he was the one instigating it- he actually advised one other member to create similar fanboy thread so that people who like other characters flame and get infracted. That was before he left for a time. :|

I have seen some cases where an adult user was trying to get some minors ( at least going by the age in their accounts) to get in to cyber *** and BDSM slavery or other similar bits. Not taking a 'no ' for an answer but trying to convince her that she really wanted it and would like it. In some cases people tried to stalk and find out real life info about other members just to use against them- almost all the staff is stalked- personal snap shots found at other sites posted without permission. In fact at times people get paid to leak info about other users- in form of premium memberships- Some times people complained harassment at FB or chat groups even - not that we can do much about it other than telling them to be more cautious before giving out personal info.

One of the 13 year old got over friendly with one such user only to find their personal video chat at some chat service posted at you tube and linked at NB by that member...I had to come online to remove such links when I needed to pay attention to work only.

And I still consider NB one of the safe places-we help as much as we can and try to keep it as family friendly as possible. Hit the report button if someone is harassing you are sending you uncomfortable predatory messages. But one can guess how it would go in places where there is higher traffic.

People need to be better informed. And in most countries Cyber laws need to be defined and handled properly. It's relatively new branch and evolving. Many cyber criminals get away simply because there is no proper law and procedure in place to charge them properly.

Yeah the report does seem to be half baked and put out there because they needed to come up with something.

I saw that earlier but not really going to get in to it...

I was abt to write a long ass post but mty web crashed and I am not gonna write it all again.
Tl'Dr: I agree that Cyber Crime need more attention but half baked attempts most certainly wont help but may worsen the situation.

Depends- I haven't seen the game so I don't know what does it involve but why give it to a 2 year old? Kids that young really need videos where everyone is polite and nice and friendly. I'm serious.. I have let my kid watch DB after he broke the tale of his toy dino ( a very good piece of robotic toy very sturdy and good model) at exactly same place where Gohan cut it in on the TV---- it took him days but he managed finally... and then he started punching and lashing out in quick sequences and would glare making weird sound- I knew I was wrong in letting him run DB. I removed the Chanel. And made him watch nice shows like Dragon tales- and he slowly became well behaved- learned to say sorry, thank you and please...

I never let him watch shinchan for the similar reason. I don't know why Japanese parents love Doraemon. Only thing my kid and nephew seemed to want is a robot to do their homework- and started throwing tantrums whenever asked to do- so no more Nobita around my home. He used to voluntarily sit to do his HW before that and eagerly so. So much for the kids anime.

I have told my son if I would cancel the cable TV subscription if I found him watching it again. At least he is studying again. Kids really need supervision with what they watch and the games they play.

Pokemon ... Well its a pet battle game really and definately not for toddlers as the mechanics is quite complex. The Sources cited in the report is that much ignorant. (I heard 18% sources in the report are plainly missing)

I think in Sinchan and DBZ are really old anime and are classified according to age grps that they roughly follow. Not to mention I have noticed that Japanese parents raise their children differently and tries to make them more responsible of their own actions and differentiate between fantasy and reality.

Freedom of speech should be BANNED completely in favour of a Totalitarian Government the likes of which have only been imagined by Orwell.
Yes I refer to 1984 where the Thought Police controlled you.

Was 1984 morally wrong? Yes, but look at the immoral things we do with our so called "freedom".
Make me ruler and watch me bring peace.
