you are forgetting that eli manning has no proven wide recievers anymore, their running game is pretty horrible and their defense is overrated
Hakeem nix, amani toomer, and steve smith are all great recievers. smith down the middle, toomer to the sides, and nix down field. they even have kevin boss to cover the rest of the short game. (all are great except toomer)

one of the best running games actually. earth, wind and fire. this year, there will be fewer injuries with jacobs who will pave the way, and then theres bradshaw who can destroy any single-minded line.

defense is statistically 4th best. ill admit that the steelers, titans, etc. have better defenses, but in the best conference (NFC east) a 4th best scoring defense is pretty good.

yes and don't forget to mention that smith has great potential and can be one of the better WR in the nfl in a few years time

amad bradshaw is the only good running back...
amani toomer was released
steve smith is a joke
the eagles have a better defense then the giants, we were ranked second in the league behind the steelers..

smith is a third rate reciever on a teach with a quaterback who is known to choke in the playoffs

first smith has a lot of potential he is no third rate reciever
and choke in the playoffs we are talking about the guy who through like 2 interceptions the entire playoffs last year beat the packers cowboys and pats all teams who were better and the quaterbacks were brett farve tony romo and tom brady eli manning is not a known choke this past year he choked but he is not a playoff choke nothing
and this is a jet fan talking here

tom brady didn't play last season, brett farve is a shadow of his former self who can't play in the stretch, and tony romo is a bigger choke the eli manning.
smith is a third rate reciever and he hasn't shown me anything to prove me wrong

unless he starts he is gonna be a third rate w/r..

and i will admit that eli manning had a flash of brilliance against the pats, but that was bound to happen

but he still played a great game even if the giants lost he didn't choke in any of those games he played GREAT
he's still a choke artist, the giants blasted the eagles in regular season sacking mcnabb 7 times, yet in the playoffs they lose to the eagles..
plus he's a whiner who should be playing in san diego because thats who drafted him

he whined his way out of a better situation in san diego, which had a great defense, the best running back today, and a decent o-line to a giants team who had a good defense, a decent running game and a poor o-line. its ok though, pittsburgh got the best quaterback in that draft in big ben who won a super bowl in his second year, and has already won two

Since this thread is about favorites, I'll talk about my team first, and then get into other stuff.
I mite be a Bears fan but I'm not stupid. They arguably have one of the easiest schedules in the league, but I think it's far from easy for the Bears. I'm more worried about the Packers than I'm about the Vikings for some reason. Maybe because the Vikings don't have a QB.? The Bears will be lucky getting 10 wins this season. They'll have a QB but not much weapons. Hester on slot, two descent TE, one good RB, and a slightly fix offensive line, still slacking on WR. The good part is they have a good young QB at 25 that they can eventually build around.
Over all, I hope my Bears prove me wrong and do better than I'm anticipating.

Just like Cutler and many others, Eli Manning's personality isn't a crowd favorite. But he can arguably play his position very good, and being only 28, the Giants are set on QB. It's more about how they play the game than it is about how they act. However T.O. will always get on my nerves.

My thoughts on the other teams:
San diego is still a playoff team. They were plagued with injuries last season, but I think they'll be ready.
Eagles had a good draft and look to be the strongest thus far in the east.
I thought the NFC south was the strongest divison last year. I think the falcons, panthers, and saints are still strong contenders. And for the other teams I don't see much. I think the Cards and Pats will win there divison. The The Steelers will still have to battle against a great Ravens team and I think, a much more improved Bengals team this season.

agreed with your last paragraph, but i still think eli manning is a joke and would have been better off in the afc on san diego
rofl i didn't know that that is funny but eli manning is still good
he's decent at best...
