no, yin is a nature and yang is a nature, yin-yang is a combination of both, read some facts before you try putting up "facts" smart one, i hate peole loke you from the bottom of my heart
No, Yin-Yang chakra isn't your typical fusion element.

Jiraiya said Nagato had mastery over all 6 elements. If you're gonna say Yin and Yang are separate natures, then which is the 6th "unknown" element?
-Fire
-Water
-Earth
-Wind
-Lightning
-???

There's only 1 slot left. By process of elimination it stands to reason that Yin-Yang should alone fill that last spot.

Loosely, Yin-Yang is itself describing both the Yin and Yang chakra types. For lack of better words, Yin and Yang are one in the same. Unlike fusion elements (advanced natures), Yin and Yang don't create a third new element. Instead, they together make up the one whole.

It's the Yin-Yang we're talking about. Obviously Kishi drew the concept of the Yin-Yang chakra type from the Taoism symbol.

For the record, all I use in any of my arguments are facts. Strict facts. Don't jump the gun when you yourself aren't 100% sure.

Now, I welcome debates of any type. Just so as long as they're reasonable and mature.

I always thought Magnet release was earth and lightning?
I used to assume this too, but don't get magnetic attraction confused with magnetic materials. Just because metal (earth) can be magnetic, that does not mean that earth is required to create magnetism. Instead, think of magnetic release in terms of a magnetic field (like the massive magnetic field around the earth). If you think about this, instead of a metal block, it makes sense that magnet release would not involve the earth element.

Its basically confirmed that Scorch is Fire + wind and Magnet release is Wind + Lighting simply because of whose villages use it. Keep in mind that a sand shinobi (land of wind) uses Scorch. So considering scorch must require fire, it makes sense that its fire + wind since she is a ninja from the village that is dominantly wind users. And a sand shinobi acted surprised when he learned a cloud ninja (land of lightning) could also use magnet release. This basically confirms that magnet release is wind + lighting.

On the other hand, we don't know too much about explosion and blaze. So far, only shinobi from the village hidden in stones can use explosion (blast corps) and Sasuke has been the only user of blaze. I agree that earth + lightning makes a lot of sense for explosion but Fire + Lighting does not make as much sense for blaze. Blaze, in fact, might just be advanced shape manipulation of fire and nothing more.

Blaze is just Amaterasu shaped with shape manipulation. Nothing more. We saw Sasuke do it.

Although I agree that it makes sense that Scorch is Fire + Wind, and Magnet is Lightning + Wind, technically we can't say it's confirmed. Or even close to confirmed. As far as Explosion release goes, perhaps Earth and Wind?? Just a guess though of course. Hopefully we'll get some more info on those skills though.
