We read a story about a man who believed he was fated to marry this woman. She told him that was impossible so he proposed a test. He chose to lay on a set of train tracks and said that if he survived she would marry him. She accepted and so he did. As the train approached there was enough time for the conductor to stop the train and so they were married. Do you think they were destined to marry, or do you think that this was just another part of life. Is it fated for you to stub and break your toe so you meet your soul mate in the ER? Maybe. Nobody knows.
But i still maintain, that if fate exists, and free will does not, there is no need for (or it is unfair to have) heaven and hell seeing as how only some divine being could create this fate.
