I don't think it's a coincidence that Ultear is saying that she doesn't deserve to live in the same chapter gray "dies".

As TheEvilOne said above: Ultear is probably able to bring someone back to life with her timeline magic at the cost of her own life. So, she's undoubtedly going to save Gray.

I don't think Gray is dead too many people are jumping to conclusions. Fairy Tail has always been a fun and not too serious manga in which the reason I loved it so much. Have people realized this yet or not but Ever sense the manga has been getting serious the quality has been going down. Why? because Fairy Tail isn't that type of manga which sets it apart from others.

You can't be disappointed if Gray is alive because we don't no for sure if he is dead people are just speculating. Fairy Tail fans are only disappointed because they speculate, assume, hype and underrate things before even knowing the whole truth. Just wait until the next chapter to see if he really is dead before complaining about him being brought back to life or praising Hiro for killing off a character. Also can someone tell me how many series that succeed kills off their main characters not important but main characters before deciding it makes for a good story. Personally I have seen 2 series that killed off their main characters and both Failed which is sad because they had potential. Main dieing at the end of a series is different then dying in the middle because I have seen successful series were characters die at the end but none that dies off in the middle except charm in which they replaced her with a similar character.h:

As I wrote it can be that he is just wounded like Erza after her encounter with Kagura.
Yuno (main character) dies at the beginning of Mirai Nikki and I like it much ;D
